I will say that this debate about exploitation can apply to just about anyone who makes outsider art, many of whom would've been absolutely abused like Chris-Chan was if they came up in the time of the Internet.

Combination of bile fascination, attachment, being a part of Weird Internet Stuff, autistic fixations, and momentum, from my talking with Central/Section.
I don't particularly care even if I would prefer not to see CWC talk, though I get being bothered by it. The way they do it doesn't seem exploitative to me, especially since, at least with Section, I've seen him talk about e.g. him and I in the same fashion.
Anyway class sucks.

I'd say no, not quite, because the broad label of "folks who make outsider art" are not directly comparable to, well, the abused and challenged CWC. Outsider art is outsider art, sure, but her becoming a phenomenon can't really be disregarded.
Also, as for things that go against any form of family values, can we acknowledge that Hugh Hefner should be in jail and probably would be if he weren't rich, white, and in ownership of a media empire?

On the other hand, the man is a wildlife preservationist who has a subspecies of marsh rabbit named after him; and, back to the bad hand, he has financed Jenny McCarthy's insane vaccines-are-evil campaign.
