Yeah, I don't have anything really against The Oatmeal.
I can't be mad at anything that can serve as a good gateway into alternative culture for people. Mine was No Logo, and we can all agree that's kinda embarrassing in retrospect.
I just get annoyed when people get stuck on these things and refuse to dig deeper than the shallow clapter that things like The Oatmeal provide.

I, on the other hand, can.
How so? Once again, I had a rather embarrassing gateway myself. I once took Cory Doctorow seriously, for crying out loud.
If I didn't enter things that way, though, I probably wouldn't be here today. Hence, I can't be mad at anyone else who enters things through that route.
I had a period of time when I very much enjoyed The Oatmeal, and one of Cory Doctorow's novels is still up there with my favorite books.
(I also still like Drake.)
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some schoolwork and a corner of shame to attend to.
what's wrong with Cory Doctorow
Little Brother was a pretty good novel, if a bit over-the-top at times when its political leanings were concerned. BoingBoing also seems pretty quality from my occasional visits there.

Ehhhhh, no? Not really at all?
I also like Bill Hicks.
I think we can all at least agree that The Oatmeal is pretty lame.
Fair.

He doesn't seem like a bad guy, personally speaking.
I apologize if so.
