Like, Chris believes that she dated Vanessa Hudgens and that Shigeru Miyamoto wanted to make a game about Sonichu with legal council from Jay-Z. This is not a person who understands anything and can really be held accountable for reacting to things badly in a way that doesn't actually hurt anyone other than herself.
this actually does sound rather like something from a flashback/blackout skit on, say, Doug
Chris killed someone! In a comic. That she drew because her fantasy world was being violated by people who hated her for no real reason other than disgust and anger at a poorly socialized human being. But she killed someone who is still alive and no worse for being electrocuted in a ten button electric chair pressed by electric hedgehog pokemon in a poorly drawn fantasy.

When I first saw this part of the comic, I thought it was horrible out of context, but then I learned that the trolls had gotten so petty and inept that the other trolls were telling to to knock it off and leave Chris alone (SHE'S A HUMAN).
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Guess who dropped the end of her cellphone charger in a cup of coffee while it was still plugged into the wall socket?

TBF, it was mainly BlueSpike who went that far, and he wasn't one of the trolls fictionally killed by Chris.

Chris has little to no ability to distinguish reality from fiction, and the fact that the Asperchu 4 were using her characters in ways she found upsetting meant that they got to Chris in a way no one had before.
Like, Chris has been shit on IRL her whole life, but this was the first time someone basically reached inside her head and stomped on her dreams.
Is this sane and reasonable? No, but neither is Chris, who lived in a run-down hoarder house with two aging abusive parents and who hadn't had a social life in years.

I agree with this, but Chris still did steal someone else's character (never mind the intentions with which they were created) and tried to claim them as her own. That kind of thing would lead to legal threats at best in a real-world scenario.
Put the cucumber in the cutlery drawer and the knife in the fridge.
How to find a stressed out student.
i've done this, or similar
e.g. pouring milk into a glass and orange juice on my cereal
I once started pouring coffee into a bowl and thankfully managed to stop myself before I scooped some cat food into my coffee mug (and rinsed out the bowl really well before putting the cat food into it).

Okay, but we all know that's not the real reason Evan was pressing the issue.

I definitely agree there. I'm just saying Chris's expectations were pretty unrealistic and it's hard to imagine her not receiving some form of pushback for them if she acted like that to people who weren't trolls.
Chris's worst actions were probably against Megan, which happened before the trolling reached a fever pitch and were against a person who had actually been nice to her.
But even then, she suffered the consequences of losing one of her few friendships.
I'm not saying Chris's actions were ever good, or healthy, or just, it's just that the whole situation was so goddamn fucked up it's hard not to hate the trolling community, which would later help give birth to gamergate.
Chris was an abused autistic loner who's worst crimes hurt herself the most, and who attracted negative attention for drawing a bad comic online. What's the excuse for the trolls?
Know your lines? Of course you know your lines! But I don't want to just hear your lines...I wanna hear what's in YOUR SOULS!!
At some point I just stopped following the Chris-chan stuff because the people obsessed over her were getting creepier and almost borderline stalkerish as well as downright mean
Isn't that Kiwi Farms place dedicated to continuing that crap too
I read some of Pastel Defender Heliotrope and while I was unimpressed, it seemed pretty... mediocre, art-wise? I was not stunned by incompetence. But I have heard that Reitz is an egomaniac who thinks herself a genius auteur, so I get where you're coming from.

I don't know why I put myself into these awkward arguments with people that I basically agree with...
I do it too, it's cool.
I think I just got confused about being lectured on stuff I already know about and mostly agree with.
It slows down after a few episodes. That, and you begin to get used to it. In combination, it becomes a much less exhausting watch.

I really like this. Where is it from? I recognise that style.
