Honestly i can see that your point is entirely valid. But i'm not Asian and haven't seen the show, so i have nothing to add to that. From what's been said here, GMH not liking it also makes perfect sense to me.
It's just like, I can agree with the superficial dumb attempts at adultness in super-hero comics nowadays(Iron Man does not need to be putting people into concentration camps in hell) but so much of it is nerds whining that something like Game of Thrones or Evangelion is allowed to exist.
