I've browsed a few clips on Youtube, and I guess at some point he tells jokes? There's a structure of a joke, at least, a setup, a punchline, a few tags. They're not funny, but they're jokes.

Question for Splatoon players: I have heard that using rollers makes you double mega plus ultra Hitler. Is this true?
This is an exaggeration. Using rollers, especially the Krak-on Roller, is really just easy modo. In turf war, rollers can very well contribute to the team's performance, but in ranked mode match modes like tower control, they are of less use, since the point is not simply to cover as much ground as possible.
The number one rule is to play the weapon type that feels best to you. If that's rollers, then at least try to play with a few different ones, and try out the brushes as well.

Regarding all the seemingly misplaced admiration for The Simpsons: I imagine it's because people doing it are old enough to remember the early seasons, before it turned into a Franchise Zombie parody of itself. Back in 1992, it was hip and fresh; now, it's not as funny because everyone's imitated that style of humor for 20 years.
Oddly enough I still like The Simpsons. Old episodes and new ones.
Also we have a dealer in our mall who looks like a real-life (but thankfully not yellow) version of the Comic Book Guy.
To the point where when he was telling me about how he went to see Ant-Man I was expecting him to say "Worst Movie EVER" or something but apparently he enjoyed it.
