Nickelodeon has been horribly incompetent for most of the last decade, and you know Cartoon Network bringing back The Powerpuff Girls has sent them into panic mode here with their old IP

Studying the periodic table reminds me of one of the sillier Denver Airpor conspiracy theories

See, the conspiracy theorists claim the New World Order wants to decimate the population with a virus called the "Australia antigen"

Their evidence for this? Art in the airport featuring a mine cart labeled "Au Ag"

GEE IT'S TOO BAD THERE'S NO OTHER WAY TO INTERPRET THAT

The TV I have in my room right now is one my brother got at a garage sale

And it's a strange misfit...a TV produced in that short window of when 480i CRTs were still on the market but included digital tuners because stations were already broadcasting on ATSC.

Rugrats revival is kind of an odd idea and I was never huge into it so I'm not really sure about that

Hey Arnold! though is something that fans have dreamed of for years and I feel like that could go over pretty damn well although they would have to replace pretty much all the voice actors if it's still set in elementary/middle school
  • was Hey Arnold even popular when it was new?

idk I think if they're going to resurrect a bunch of old IPs Rugrats would be first on the list, that thing was a cultural phenomenon.

    for some reason

A Rugrats revival was, to me, the first thing Nick would do if they got desperate.

Hey Arnold! was modestly popular; a lot of people our age remember it fondly, it was a good show, but it was never as merchandisable as some of Nick's other IP. Sure it got included in the requisite endless loud Nickelodeon tie-in campaigns, but the merch was never as common as Rugrats.

Hey Arnold! sounds like it needs Craig Bartlett back to work, but Rugrats might actually be BETTER OFF without Arlene Klasky or Gabor Csupo (also their abominable logo would be absent). Paul Germain was its real driving force, but I don't know if he wants to come back.

I don't know, I think in another 5-10 years, Nickelodeon will be primarily a nostalgia brand, like Hanna-Barbera is now.

Also, Klasky-Csupo barely exists these days anyway

By 2006 or so it was effectively defunct; they continue to exist only via a Facebook page for their abominable logo and a website that hasn't been significantly updated since the early 2000s

    that's a great logo.
  • it's like an anti-logo, you have to struggle to read it, it tells you nothing about their brand, and it has no sense of proper aesthetics whatsoever

    I love it.
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
Gábor Csupó also did the artwork for a Frank Zappa album and that's waycool

I dig the clear Eastern European influence on their artwork.

It's just a shame they didn't use it properly on their later projects.
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
I adore the Klaspy-Csupo logo, and the 1998 animated version is even better, although I could do without the animal noises. The graffiti logo isn't too bad either, to me.

Craig is actually back with Nick working on stuff so it's pretty much halfway there.
