like there is definitely such a thing as gendered clothing, but that's not an instance of it that i can recall ever seeing
pink menswear is uncommon, but not impossible to find, light, summery colours are maybe more common for women's clothes? but there's not much in it if so
as far as colours are gendered, that's mostly a thing affecting children's clothing, ime
the most common colors for mens dress shirts are light blue, white and pink.
like, pink oxford shirts are a trad/prep staple, and that is like the absolute #1 most conservative menswear scene by a country mile
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
No, see, it's not that fashion thinks dark colors are masculine and light colors are feminine. Which is not true. It's absolutely not true.
It's that Kawahara Reki and Abec (the creator and illustrator of Sword Art Online, respectively) think that dark colors are masculine and light colors are feminine.
So if you're going to address an issue, make sure you address it to the right person.
but yeah Asuna has a rather pretty character art design so it sorta sucks that it's gone to a character who's garnered so much criticism for her role in the story
from what i hear she's supposed to be a very high-level player but just sorta falls into a waifu role once the main character (kirito) shows up, in a way that doesn't make much sense but is consistent with the wish-fulfillment concept
being a leader of a major clan/guild generally involves a very different attitude than the one that seems to be both aesthetically portrayed in the pictures I've seen and described by people who've seen the show
then again, art and especially fanart of anime girls just tends to throw a boatload of moë sauce on everything
incidentally something that's awesome about nanoha is that she can act cute/caring/nice/warm/fuzzy but she also retains an air of authority to herself even when acting like that
does that refer only to people who model their look on a particular fashion style, or is everyone who dresses like their peers part of a 'scene' whether they're conscious of it or not?
And doesn't the so-called "moe sauce" also often come in dark colors?
Nah, not actually reading it. Just someone mentioned SAO's badly-translated PSP game and so I took a detour to Safebooru.
By moë sauce I mean that phenomenon where (especially fan)artists make all the anime girls look super cute and adorable and waify. (That's "waify", not "waifu-y".) with maybe some exceptions.
i haven't seen Sword Art Online, i'm just noting that
also i mentioned to my brother one time that some friends of mine didn't like it and now he keeps bringing up how good it is and how he can't understand why people think it's so bad etc.
(last time he did this i told him that i haven't watched it and really don't care either way)
Mach, I like what you add to this site, but whenever it comes to Glenn, you're kind of just hostile to him... I mean, not just addressing what he has to say, but you do kind of target him.
Maybe it's best to either move this kind of talk to pms or just ignore him.
For what it's worth, I don't hate you. You have your style, and you have your opinions, just like the rest of us do, and if anything I'm more curious than anything else, at least when I'm in a decent mood, such as right now.
Sorry if I'm feeling a little more stressed than usual lately.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
You mean Glenn Magus Harvey isn't your legal name? Nooooo I've been lied to

People have all sorts of middle names, I wouldn't rule it out...

boom, a whole outfit, took me about 3 minutes to put it together
You can get men's suits in light colours and gowns in dark colours tho so again colour isn't really the issue

Tom Ford S/S 2014
i have definitely seen pink men's shirts, anyway
i don't see them often, so maybe i underestimated their popularity? but then, i live in basically the middle of nowhere and i don't get out much

One such picture in the first row, one in the second, one in the fifth, three in the last...

i wasn't sure
just that i think this is the kind of thing people were talking about in the goss thread
Not sure why you think this, and I am genuinely curious.

kinda like how steam support is always backlogged
