tbh i've spent the last hour or so feeling annoyed with almost every other post here and massively resenting part of the forum software and the rules pertaining to it (which prevent me from elaborating on this point)
if HH just suddenly stopped for the night it'd be a relief but i'm still hoping something will happen that makes everything better again

I mostly wish the forum had certain features which it does not have. At most I've been kinda drowsy.

You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Reminder that this was a thing that existed:
AOL took Firefox 1.0, slapped on an incredibly ugly skin, and called it an updated version of Netscape.

Heh.
It's funny how Wikipedia pretty much still looks like that.
It's been changed slightly but compared to how other websites have been redesigned in the intervening years it's pretty much the same.
Not Tzetze levels of weird, just weird enough to think that "language eggs" (AKA eggs that make you learn foreign languages when eaten) are a wonderful idea.
I actually really like these sorts of weird and random interesting ideas.
I thought the language egg thing was PURE GENIUS at like 3 AM when I thought of it.
I get a little annoyed when ideas seem sillier than they did when I dreamed them up.
I'm amazed at how many people gripe about Microsoft taking out the F8 shortcut for Safe Mode when the reason they did it is that modern computers literally boot too fast to physically press the F8 key in time
I know a few times I was like MASH EVERY F KEY OR AT LEAST F2 F6 F8 AND F12 AS FAST AS POSSIBLE UPON RESTART

I don't know if I could ever identify with a single character enough to say I'm fictionkin with them. No one character has yet to encapsulate my spirit enough for me to say "yes, that's literally me!"
I guess that's why fictionkin tend to have multiple characters they're kin with.

I get fictionkin in theory, I guess? Like if there was a character I could look at and say "yes, this character is what I'm all about; this character is everything I consider myself to be" I might be able to identify as a fictional character?
Most of the characters I identify with (not as) are different from me in a few key ways...
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
I want to be Superman, and I can empathize with him. All engagement with media is based on identifying with its figures, someone that isn't there. That's literally how it works.
But that's not what being fictionkin is about. It's about base identity, not identification.
I think fickin are just kinda the logical progression of otherkin, which functionally operated on the "mythology" of animals far more so than what the animals actually are anyway so at that point identifying as outright fictional characters isn't much of a stretch.
Also it seems like *Fictionkin are the most popular type currently *If I'm being conservative, the average amount of kintypes is around 7. I've seen people pushing around 30.
Also a logical progression of Tumblr's (yes, yes, I know not *all* of Tumblr) tendency to take a work of fiction completely at face value without considering its creation or its creators.
1. Sponge, fuck you 2. I've tried to tone it down as far as otherkin are concerned but I just find the entire thing kinda... I dunno, inane? At best it's just odd and at worst I've seen it very visibly be an impediment to actually forming an identity.
Aizawa, to further clarify, is a tiny alien that lives inside of a human-sized, robot version of herself. This robot version has a bolt where her dongle would be.

Especially with fictionkin and headmates.
