And like, if i were to walk up to a random adult on the street and say, 'btw, i'm 15 years old', they'd call me a liar, right? Independent of tumblr, there's like this hard cut-off point where everyone decides you're no longer the one thing, you're the other, except you don't feel like you suddenly transformed from one day to the next. Nothing factually changed except the calendar.

It seems rather arbitrary that "I identify as a woman even though I'm physically male" is something Tumblr users would accept but "I identify as 13 even though I'm physically an adult" would not get the same response

i'm 25 now and now i'm realizing that teenage things no longer quite feel like 'me' and that's uncomfortable
i started to notice that a lot of people saying things i thought were dumb were quite a lot younger than me and then i felt guilty for being judgmental
thing is i feel like i never was a teenager properly in the first place, i spent my teenage years afraid of my peers and preferring to talk to adults
and now i've run out of time to do teenager-hood properly
