They're totally powergamers. Badgers are so OP that with a fox to disarm traps, you can make it through most farms and get a ton of food. Farmcats are a non-issue, and even a dog isn't that big of a deal.
I'd play an RPG about forest animals putting aside their differences to explore farms as if they were dungeons a la a TRPG or an MMORPG
I'm still seriously thinking about how this would work.
I think maybe the Powered By The Apocalypse system would be good. Also what animals to include and not include. Are wolves and deer too big? Are sparrows and mice too small?

Myr, you should look at Secret of Cats. It's about that sort of thing, cats (who are magical) protecting their owners from threats like ghosts and shit.
One of the things there is a size-based penalty/bonus mechanic.
