basically, beneath the carefully constructed veneer of offensiveness, South Park mostly just affirms white straight middle class values in the most boring, obnoxious and faux-transgressive way possible.
An edgier version of The 700 Club for your r/atheist uncle
AVGN and Pewdiepie are both at the top of the "video game videos" category, pretty much, so if you watch anything game-related you'll probably get them.
I think that Dune: Messiah was more tightly written, being almost as memorable in a third of the pages; but it didn't have good old Duke Leto and bad old Baron Harkonnen.
In September 2006, a landmark court decision overturned Bush's repeal of the Roadless Rule, reverting to the 2001 roadless area protections established under president Clinton. However, the Tongass remained exempt from that ruling.
speaking of skinny jeans: i am still wildly in love i with the cheap monday skinny jeans i bought last week, i can barely bring myself to wear any other pants
Nowadays the only thing I find myself enjoying to a noticeable degree are the NLSS videos, on account of him bouncing off of Nick or others. But he focuses too much on the strats (which naturally he gets wrong at times which makes it entertaining again), or The Streak(s), or how he effectively needs to Be Like Bisnap (if not in those exact words). Or just gunning for wins, which if the others weren't included, is still incredibly boring to me. Double digit win streaks, and winning in Isaac most of the time, is largely easy to do if you know how to do it and go about doing so; that's just tedious. He also, at least in the videos I watch, talks so much more about the fans in lieu of the things that made him entertaining at first, i.e. the rambles out of nowhere.
Bisnap, like, doesn't have nearly the same energy and is far chiller for sure, but does have consistency (to me), which I like more.
^ I found him annoying ever since I watched his FTL videos, and gave his other videos a fair shake but he didn't really stick with me. What do you mean?
i also finally achieved the charity shop impossible by finding a good pair of 28" waist skinny jeans
wow, i am legit impressed
there were two pairs of 28" skinnies in the same shop which blew my mind but one pair was hollister and the denim was far too heavy for a pair of skinnies & they just didn't make sense as a garment
the others were grey and real nice so I snapped that shit up, only £4 aswell

like for example, on nick's Magic videos, once they are wrapped up in terms of the game they go on discussing things for an hour or so right? and this one time he staqrted going on about how new york pizza is so much better than every other kind of pizza like for a solid 30 minutes and it was so fucking annoying.
also he went to film school and his fave film is pulp fiction?????
I still think that the AVGN, as the progenitor of that style and probably partially responsible for the popularity of LPers too is still one of the best out there. Most of it comes from an obvious passion for filmmaking. "Cinemassacre 200" was pretty inspiring when I was like 13.

I feel similarly and still like the guy quite a lot.

is this an unacceptable thing
it's just such a weird choice?
it's quite a good film, but like if you go to film school you end up seeing quite a few, and you learn a lot about films, so like that means you are choosing Pulp Fiction over a bunch of films that i would definitely say are better?

I was under the impression for a while that I had to grow out of him to be a respectable person, but along with a lot of other things, I came to realize that it was fine to like him.
Some of his more gimmicky videos can still grate on me, but I suspect that's more Mike Matei's fault than James's.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
The worst I have to say about The Angry Video Game Nerd is that his success spawned a bunch of unfunny copycats who don't realize there's more to his category of humor than swearing at video games.

Like so:
Still good.
@naney: It's basically entirely a mockery of AVGN copycats.
