Given the opportunity for a world of unlimited creative freedom and enjoyment, we can be certain that humanity will not rest until it has turned this infinitely bountiful paradise into something even shittier than modern-day capitalism.

Now I'm wondering, has there ever been a good Scooby Doo game?
I suppose the other gameboy game I had, based on Cyber Chase or "Let's make an excuse to put the Mystery Gang in different stock settings", was passable, but not good, per se.
The Mystery Gang doesn't fight, the live-action Scooby Doo movies aside, so that's out. You could always do the platforming bit, like Ducktales. I suppose that was what Cyber Chase was though, and that was kind of a wash, so you'd have to put some effort into the mechanics. And the natural nature of platformers would require for the monster of the week to be real, rather than fake.
There's always that drive to make Scooby Doo about actual monsters rather than regular ones, but they never really commit to it. Except in Mystery Inc, so I've heard, but I'll be damned if I watch another episode of that. Scooby Doo's allowed to remain a light, cheerful show because they never go up against an actual supernatural threat. Even in the early movies, like Boo Brothers and Ghoul School, the supernatural elements were meant to contribute to wacky madcap shenanigans.

i'd dearly love some sort of Hanna-Barberaverse game :n
The first Scooby Doo Movies, after a few unnoteworthy clip shows, were Boo Brothers, Ghoul School, and Reluctant Werewolf. You could also call these the red shirt movies, similarly to how the Lupin III series are distinguished by whether Lupin's jacket is green or red, as Shaggy wears a red shirt in these films and only these films.
They're good films, if not original. Boo Brothers focused on a trio of Three Stooges ripoffs, and Reluctant Werewolf was really just a Halloween-themed extended episode of Wacky Races. Ghoul School may have been novel at the time, portraying the children of stock movie monsters, but we're all well aware that 'children of villains going to school' has become old hat at this point.
Then there were the more professional but direct-to-video movies, starting with Zombie Island.
This is where Scooby Doo moves away from the humor and towards drama and real monsters. This is also where the live-action movie ripped off the 'let's split the gang up, literally" thing at the beginning. Was notable for a few twists that weren't standard to the horror genre.
The next three were The One That Poorly Understands Wiccans (Witch's Ghost), The One Where Shaggy Got a Girlfriend (Alien Invaders), and the aforementioned Let's Put The Mystery Gang in Stock Settings. The first one was meh, the second one had some interesting designs, and the third one was pretty interesting, if only for the last bit with the Gang meeting their virtual clones.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
Fun fact: Zombie Island was reworked from an unused SWAT Kats plot
It was also produced during the period when Warner Bros. closed down Hanna-Barbera's 3400 Cahuenga studio and consolidated it with Warner Bros. Television Animation
Does the "look for the character they make a point to introduce, then sort of forget about, because they'll be the one who is pretending to be the monster" rule hold true for most episodes, or just the ones I tested it on.

so i hope your 21st is gonna be a good year
well, tachypoint to Imi, then
it was decent i think, but i haven't seen the others yet so no frame of reference here
my friend who has informs me it is "obviously not as good as the first 2, but better than 3 and 4"
not even i know my source code
- i love Matt Smith to pieces and i always will but i have no idea what that accent was supposed to be
- what complete arsehole steals trousers from a homeless dude? easily the biggest wtf moment of the movie
- time travel makes no sense nobody cares
On a more positive note, the action was good, there were lots of explosions and a cool helicopter chaseand massive props to the make up and effects team for convincingly representing the T-800 at iirc 3 different ages, that was impressively done
