dude you have made like no new threads after "Jurassic World/TMNT 2/Transformers 5 is your fault" and like a fuckton of people posted in that one what the hell
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I basically just stopped looking at Twitter because I really do not care about E3

I may be walking into a minefield here, but what exactly is wrong with the current pope?
I had heard decent things about him up until now.
his opinions aren't actually that far away from benedict "emperor papaltine" xvi's, he's just trying to refocus the efforts and emphasis towards the parts that involve helping the poor, especially in poorer countries like his native argentina, so the nasty parts of catholic dogma aren't, you know, gone
and even if he were a more radical reformer, he'd still be just one part in a very large bureaucracy which has its own checks and balances and the most conservative asshole parts of the catholic church are still going to be conservative assholes

Yeah, that’s all pretty true.
By “decent”, I do of course mean by papal standards.
I was just wondering if there was a specific incident or something that caused people to start reacting to him like this. I think I remember reading about a really bad gaffe of his a while back, but I can’t remember the specific details now.

the ones i remember are him comparing transgender people to nuclear weapons and showing up in anti-gay-marriage billboards in i think poland? (probably also that sort of stuff during the ireland referendum)

Comments
I'll post it in there.
There are legitimate reasons to hate the Catholic Church, though, can't really blame anyone just for that.
it's probably worth keeping in mind that catholicism occupies a v different position in ireland from in the us (or england) all the same
It's just really bad and lame at it.
but the fact that there is even a contest does not bode well for either of them
