It's a 1991 Mercury Topaz, which sounds stupid old, I know...but it's only got 89,000 miles on it and it runs great! I'm kinda excited.

1991, eh? I had a 1990 car once. Bit the dust about 7 years ago
The age had me a little "eh" at first but the car only has 89K miles on it and it ran far better than any of the other cars I test drove, so it was a deal.
Also, our van is a 1993 and it still runs. Mom hasn't decided yet if she wants to get rid of it, though, since we just did a lot of work to the Jeep, the Jeep is newer, and we don't need third-row seating anymore.

I, uh, don't know exactly. I'm not a car guy...that's why I brought my step-grandfather along to help me pick one out. :P
Also, amazingly, it still had the original owner's manual in the glovebox, complete with business card from the dealer who sold it originally. Which is good sign, IMO.

It's weird how the last time I got a used car I knew full well that I would just keep on driving it till it died, but this time I'm only intending for it to hold out for a couple years until I can trade up to something nicer.

It's not like I intend to do any real heavy travel; I'll just be taking it to work and school and back.
