You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
So the main computer lab at my school is starting to phase out their ancient PCs...in favor of thin clients.
I had the misfortune of logging onto one that refused to let me set the screen resolution higher than 640x480. Have you ever tried to use Windows 7 at 640x480?
But you are quite rude and condescending to people who disagree with you. And then criticize others for the same.
And then you generalize the whole TVT community on a batch of users who aren't even well liked by the community at large and are only there due to not being banned by the overly lenient moderation.
I' not saying I don't like you and don't consider you a friend, but your high ground is more of a hill or knoll than a mountain.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
squid I don't think Naney hates you, I think he thought you were being smug when you said that TV Tropes's community was f***tarded. He was pointing out something he saw as a flaw, not trying to hurt your feelings (though he did phrase it in a fashion that was kind of abrasive).
^^Well I got ninja'd by the pony himself when trying to phrase this right.

TV Tropes is not full of bullies, but you did hit their wrong buttons. I remember people expressing annoyance with your third-person thing; I think they saw it as a "special snowflake" thing.
Any quirk that one might have that can be in any way construed to be deliberate is frowned upon on the internet for reasons that are quite honestly beyond me.
I recall someone flipping shit to me via PM because I constantly spelled "license" wrong and they thought I was doing it to be cute.
Not that I don't sometimes do the same thing. I have nothing but annoyance for people who use <<guillemets>> or whatever they're called instead of quote marks. They "make more sense" or something.
unless you mean *doing this*, but I do that too. But more for emphasis than as a quotation mark replacement.
I think the overzealous-ness towards "special snowflake" tendencies is kinda silly at times.
IMO, people need to lighten up about things like this in general. "YOU DARE TO GO AGAINST THE WHIM OF [insert hivemind of site you're on here]?! BEGONE VILE CREATURE!"

...How did you spell it?
(I ask because "licence" is also a valid spelling, albeit not one typically used in America)

^^^ He means things like (*hugs*) to indicate actions.
...how often would you have to type "license" for them to even notice that?
Enough times, apparently. That was not the only word this person was DEAD CONVINCED I was misspelling on purpose (as some sort of evil plot, I assume), but it was the one they made the biggest deal out of. Luckily I have not heard from them again.
Doing *this* for *emphasis* reminds me of Carth Onasi and I will ban everyone if you turn into him, I promise.
Someone from Knights of the Old Republic, the first one.
*He did this* when *talking* about *things*. It was kinda weird to see in a video game.
Also, as far as verbal tics go. Only Ozbourne's annoys me, and even then, only barely (it's just because I mentally process "8" as well...."eight", so it takes longer for me to read her posts than most people's).
@Super Lazuli: I like that one, actually. It's the Tumut that bothers the hell out of me. Mainly because it's spammed and not used like an alternate wording.

I used to use hyphens to indicate actions when I was back on TVT, because -uses Princess Magic- was faster than typing [==]*uses Princess Magic*

Irene, the "tumut" stuff is mostly confined to threads that are pretty much just spam anyway. And this forum's meant to be rather silly, anyway; if it was done out of a genuine desire to annoy then it would be a problem.
^The thread's identity was built around us being open weirdos for the longest time; now however it's just a generic chat thread. Ironically, it's dominated by half a dozen people like it was in the past, but not the same as then!

Irene: Well, many people I want to talk to are here. And most of the time I'm on there are mostly people I don't really recognize.

*shrug*
I am content if this is as bad as "drama" here ever gets.

I don't even know what "tumut" is supposed to be.
Sounds like someone tried making "totes"-style slang out of "tumultuous".
He's not even that bad of a party member. But the way he *emphasizes* things is off-putting.
