"While popular in the United States and Canada, ranch dressing is virtually unknown in many parts of the world.[4][5][6] In places where ranch seasoning is used to flavor snack foods, the flavor may be described as "American" flavor.[7]"
Fallout 3. Obsidian may not be the best at bugtesting, but Bethesda are worse. There's a reason people joke that it's not a Bethesda game until you fall through the floor.
Yep. Hell, in Fallout 3 it was how you got to got to the citadel early and get Power armor training at like level 2.
Working on a Twine game. I occasionally include snippets of Mass Effect/Dragon Age codex-esque worldbuilding.
FTL Gates: The revolution necessary for practical interstellar travel was discovered after First Contact and the development of mental implants for humans. Previously limited by the inherent nature of relativity, the prospect of colonizing even bodies within Earth's solar system was a daunting one.
"FTL," meaning "faster than light" is technically a misnomer. The gates actually function by using a Laika Engine, which creates a fourth dimensional "pull" on three dimensional space, akin to pulling on a sheet with a string. The area of space being pulled is thus expanded, and the areas around it contracted. Multiple adjacent "pulls" create easily-traversed corridors of contracted space, provided the ship traversing them also contains a Laika Engine to negate the distortion locally.
FTL Gates are heavily guarded and monitored to prevent intentional and accidental spaghettification.
