Nerds like to prove they are better than the philosophy of the Matrix and its sequels, but rarely do they try to prove that they are better at science than Star Wars and it's prequels. Why?
Chaos has something special. Hit the curb hard, just as intended. Vitality, balance, perfect control. 40-degree cooler. Absolute right, wrong intention.
The Matrix claims to actually have something philosophical to say, whereas Star Wars never (as far as I know) makes any pretense of having good science.
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
I finally figured out what 'Say Yes Or Roll The Dice' means.
It means you don't ask the players to roll dice unless it's important and is going to bring conflict.
They're normal gangsters. They want to walk into town? They do it. They want to fool a foolish person? They do it. They want information? They've got it. They want to shoot someone that doesn't get out of the way? Done.
They want to push the earth out of orbit? They don't do it.
They want to pull guns on each other to split the loot? Okay, break out the dice.

Because media engages with philosophy by its very nature but only science in certain contexts.
I mean, at this point, I was barely using the thing, but
I had a thousand songs on a playlist on there. And there's no way that I actually remember all of them.
Jeez, you could have warned us.
I'd bet that the MAFIAA wanted it down as soon as possible so as to make sure their precious, precious money wasn't going to be threatened by its existence any longer.
If nothing else, an export to Spotify option would have been convenient, but I don't think any sympathy was spent on Grooveshark at all.
I'm reminded of the Napster fiasco, except this time it didn't leave as much of a mass exodus to other services in its wake.

Not really? I mean Jaws has nothing of any real philosophical import to say, and that's fine.

Philosophy is - broadly speaking- something ALL media engages with by its very nature. (The thing people usually say is that everything is political but I find that word to be a bit... I dunno, narrow? Philosophy seemed more fitting.)
To my understanding the function of a work comes through its themes and its crafting of emotion. While something like Jaws primarily engages through guiding audience emotion skillfully, that doesn't mean it's devoid of themes.
So people complain about themes because they are one of the fundamental aspects of a work. Bad themes will make a work worse because themes are fundamental to ALL media. Bad science can be an issue when it creates severe misconceptions, but science isn't always important to the work like themes are, but it does often depend on what the given viewer feels is important so like CSI doesn't bother the average viewer on a thematic level but its misrepresentation of forensic science has had a negative impact. But CSI has a pretense of reality whereas Star Wars is firmly and clearly in the realm of science. It's complicated and pretty subjective but as a general rule it depends on the work's pretenses.

C-cup boobs GET IN THE WAY a lot
I mean I guess if you're lucky enough to have them grow naturally you'd get used to them but if, like uh this friend of mine, you have to strap bags of rice to your chest, it takes some getting used to

I like that the man who wrote I Am A Rock, Sound Of Silence, Hazy Shade of Winter, and You Can Call Me Al also wrote this, which is one of the dumbest songs I've ever heard.
