One of my favorite Boston Marathon conspiracy posts: someone who claimed a man being interviewed on the news must be an actor because one program referred to him as "Former Boston Police Officer" and the other referred to him as "Former FBI Bomb Expert"
Like, the idea that a person can have more than one former occupation genuinely never occurred to this poor kid.

the same applies to greedo shooting first
I don't give a fuck about Greedo shooting first, though it does seem to exemplify the "change for the sake of change" aspect of the Special Editions.
What does piss me off is Hayden Christensen as Anakin's ghost in the DVD release of Return of the Jedi.

Things that make me acutely aware of time's passing: the golf course I used to write marketing emails for back in 2012 is now the site of a middle school

So I don't know where to put this, but Nostalgebraist who gets posted here from Tumblr now and again has been working on a work of fiction called The Northern Caves.
It's kind of a House of Leaves/Pale Fire type of deal where it's presented as an analysis of a work of fiction that doesn't exist, but in this case it's a fan forum analyzing the baffling final work of a cult fantasy writer.
It's pretty interesting and not like much I've seen before, so check it out.

That sounds very clever and entertaining. Leave it in a PM for me so I can read it when I have time...
Anyways, apparently a sequel series to Kids Next Door is being made?
I dunno, I didn't grow up with that series (we never had that channel).
Was the original any good?
a lot of people my age remember it fondly but I kind of associate it with CN going downhill (the idea felt like a Nickelodeon reject and when it was new CN in general was subtly eroding thanks to Jamie Kellner being stupid)
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
maybe it felt that way because they were forcing CN to take a lot of Kids' WB! shows that didn't quite fit in and they had a bunch of shows in those days that got canned after a season or two never to be seen again
most of them are considered to have been too good to last, but still
