I have a character who's functionally mute because she's been cursed to only sing and never talk, but that's stretching "plausible" I think
I could have her be a mute because she doesn't want to give anyone the satisfaction of hearing her talk, or she could have had an accident that caused her to lose her voice.
She relies on writing stuff down, obscene hand gestures, and lots of eye rolling to get point across.

I don't think that Shaq wrote his own rhymes but he has a couple songs where he kiiiinda goes in.
"Men of Steel" is one such song. It's hard to be on the same track as peak Ice Cube and not look like an absolute amateur and to his credit he pulls it off.
