Assuming you are referring to that doughy pizza with cinnamon on it, then cinnamon rolls are useful if you need to block somebody's sense of smell, or cause an emergency gag reflex, or if someone with mind powers is trying to alter your memories or learn the secrets you know or do mind-control or something and you need something to disrupt your ability to think so as to mess up said person with mind powers.
If you are referring to rolls that have cinnamon on them, I have never had those. I love rolls, rolls are my favorite food. I like Cinnamon, or at least my dad does and by the transitive property of enjoyment, I like Cinnamon. But, man, I love rolls.
I am a very sorry excuse for a messiah if that is the case, but I guess being the manifestation of a personal god rather than a universal one will do that.
Alternately, make a Zappfe reference here.
Hello, Panurge.
Speaking of: I read a book on late 19th century German Philosophy, and there was a lengthy description of the now forgotten Pessimism controversy. In Germany, the followers of Schopenhauer got into a scuffle with the romantics and Neo-Kantians on the value of life. It was interesting how quickly the pessimist side threw out antinatalist arguments I'd always thought were weak and improved the ones I found more convincing. It was like reading antinatalist debates again, but a thousand times easier to take seriously.
What I'm saying is that I think this proves that Marx quote about things happening first as tragedy, then as farce.
I am not surprised, actually. I had long been tangentially aware of the pessimists' short-lived but intriguing period of import in German philosophy, but I was unaware of that particular kerfuffle. In retrospect, there had to have been one, and I am sure that the likes of Schopenhauer could have come up with better arguments than the modern pack of fools, but it is sad how few of those arguments were preserved at all. Maybe strong arguments for distressing things are too unpalatable for most historians of philosophy? I cannot say.
One of the strongest defenders of the pessimism side was Agnes Taubert, the wife of Hartmann. Hartmann is somewhat remembered today as a predecessor of Freud, but Taubert has been very forgotten.
Although part of the reason was her somewhat regressive social views(she had a very low opinion of the poor) so it's not all up to discomfort and misogyny.

That makes sense. I remember that Ligotti discussed her briefly in a conversation about the dearth of female voices in both pessimistic philosophy and great horror fiction.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Speaking of ear-worms, they are playing Simple Minds' "Don't You Forget About Me" here, which is one of the few arena rocker songs of the 1980s that I genuinely more-than-passively like. Mainly because it is the most triumphantly bitter thing ever.
Burnt marsh-wiggle also works, but that's hard to get these days.
18 Rozpoints to whoever first gets the reference.
NO GOOGLING.
This was an incident concerning Puddleglum in The Silver Chair, wasn't it? i don't remember the details as it's so long since i read it, but i think he stamped out a fire.

Getting ready for an economics exam
This should go better than the general chemistry one

Not yet. Might watch an episode or two here if possible, although watching weird anime in public even when no-one notices—I am literally in a corner here, with good headphones, and the place is half-deserted—is a biiiiiit strange-feeling.
But they are secretly bears! And I know for a fact that a number of caniform carnivores have saliva that actually acts as an antibiotic agent!
And yes, I watched that sequence moments ago. I can't watch the rest of that show in public. But it is definitely entertaining. And I already like the character in Naney's avatar.
