  That's probably because it marked the beginning of my recovery from the trainwreck that was my 2013. I hope to be completely back to my old self by the end of 2015.

  Compared to the financial train wreck that was 2013, 2014 was pretty kind to my family overall. It also had me keeping a job for a few months, successfully taking my first semester at Ohio State University, and flying for the first time to visit Anonus, so overall it was decent, even if there were rough spots.
  
  Also, I did manage to stay up to celebrate the New Year with AU in his time zone, albeit just barely. I feel bad for going to bed like right after midnight Mountain, but he seems ok with it...
