It's New Year's Eve and Midnight McMacho Whore or whatever she's called now is nowhere to be seen. How disappointing.
It's a recent spell, but it's the worst type of spell I have. If I'm fine in the day, I don't want to tell my parents that I cry myself to sleep every night because I appear fine in the morning and they will be all "why didn't you tell us oh you look fine". At least with regular depression, where I am miserable all the time, my parents pick up on it a lot quicker.

You know, when USB flash drives first became a thing, the concept seemed weird to me.
"So...it's got a plug and you just plug it into a regular port? Why not have some kind of disk and a disk drive?"

we got a computer late enough that floppy disks were not quite on their way out, but were probably on their last legs
i remember it was explained to me that there were 2 kinds of disks, floppy disks and CD-ROMs, and i couldn't see the point in floppy disks, since they didn't appear to do anything a CD-ROM couldn't

...it occurs to me that Naney and I are in the same time zone for once

I was going to say "but floppy disks were writable!" but if you were late enough in the '90s or early 2000s I guess CDs eventually became writable too.

I was born in early 1992, so yeah, I getcha. Rewritable CDs came in when I was pretty young. Also, we had a cassette player until I was ten, if I am not mistaken.

My family didn't have a CD burner until 2004, but I assume we were pretty late to the party on that one.

i can't remember when we got a CD burner... when we first got a computer i mostly just browsed Encarta and played with crappy demo software, and 'writable' wasn't something that interested me in any capacity
Man, if Victorian English culture overwrote the current Hollywood culture, Nicki Minaj would be that one eccentric socialite who's always known for her razor-sharp wit and provocative dress.

Anyways, my shoulders are wider than my hips.
People think I'm pale and then I take off my watch and they see the tan line and they're like, "Dag, yo. Yer dang white."
i know it's still 2014 for some people here, but i'm awake at the moment.
