I never felt like I was close to anyone here, but that's the thing with forums, oh well
Do you feel close to Miko?
This is a curious question.
I didn't mean for this to be "Oh ho ho ho" Obviously I know you're like really close to Miko, but I'm curious if that kind of thing is like, the medium itself or the people.
Like, do you dislike the forum because the forum or the forum because the people.
Mind you, I don't really have any reason to come here either, and my interaction with people is rather sparse and probably not even worth it anyways.
I just come here for the chance to talk about stuff and with people, or just vent I guess, make a thread, post stuff in it, Like, everything I say usually gets ignored so in that end it really doesn't I'll just say whatever I want.
It's an awkward feeling when you are talking with a fellow fan of something and you realize that that person is a much bigger (or more obsessed, alternatively) fan of it than you are.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
Pepper Ann simultaneously feels like it's a product of its time and that it came too soon (it was aimed at a slightly older audience than its One Saturday Morning brethren - I think if the show were running now, Tumblr would love it)
So we were rotating carhops every two hours tonight because everyone wanted a chance to make tips, right? And I waited very patiently until ten o’clock for my chance and realized that I would likely need a break to prevent, you know, a violation of minor labor laws. Also it was busy and stressful as fuck, but yeah, a break would’ve been a mutually beneficial arrangement. My manager whined about me “pestering” him but I got it and ended up cutting into my time as carhop- preferable, of course, to making someone else fill in for me and cut into their time- and afterwards I managed to carhop. For all of thirty minutes, which was precisely enough time to break even- literally to the penny- and not come up short because a combination of the slightly faulty money system that occasionally gives someone a slightly lucky break or slightly fucks them over and the fact that occasionally as someone drives off I’ll look at the credit card machine and realize their card didn’t go through. This really only has to happen once or twice to ensure I will come up short. So I guess it’s halfway fortunate that I came up even at least, and I was making more money today because it was a holiday, but damn.
Tonight was stressful and I have remarkably little to show for it.
we'll have breakfast, do some stuff and he'll take me to the airport around noon
we board the plane at 1:30-ish and take off a couple minutes after two
i'll arrive in Newark around 6
then I catch the 8:30 train from Newark to Philadelphia, which takes about an hour (i'll catch an earlier one though if it's not too expensive), and the beau and co. will be there to pick me up
You know what, this place is small enough that coming back didn't seem like it was a bad thing, and it isn't. Sure some people leave and some people join, but there's a niche sort of liking of the small reasonably same sort of community thing.

(NBC Turner acquired Viacom's stake in Spelling in 1996; it bought the rest in 2000, thus feeding the Turner cable networks with more programming. More delicious programming that NBC OWNED)

Why is it that driver's licenses and student IDs can have your signature printed on, but credit cards you still have to sign with a pen?
