I play Touhou for score. At lower difficulties, it's about learning patterns and it's more leisurely. On the highest setting (Lunatic), which yields the highest scores, it's about already knowing the patterns inside and out, and having the reflexes and precision to deal with the game aggressively trying to kill you at every moment. :v

My kitty :D I've had her for about four years now. She has sort of an unhealthy dependence on me and is... really, really averse to change. She just requires a lot more effort than you typically think a cat would.
She does not like my roommate's cat. My roommate's cat is obsessed with my cat. He will sit in my closet for hours and stare at my cat until my cat gets fed up and beats him up. He does not learn.

A breakdown of 2hu scoreboards, by Miko.
EoSD: You think know you can get a higher score than the current person by breaking the awkwardly-designed game mechancis even more. You try and try. The RNG squashes all your best efforts. Why would anyone keep playing this?
PCB: How high do the scores in this game go? Each new record is a significant improvement over the last one. New records have been a steady thing for an entire decade now. The people getting said records have been playing for all of these years, and learning to score at all in this game is a huge task. Good luck joining them!
IN: The same person keeps besting the record they've had for years, by very small margins. Why does this person keep playing? No one can beat them.
MoF: All the highest scores are nearly the same because "autistic" optimization, only very tiny amounts apart that are entirely the fault of RNG. Getting near the top spot is just like getting the top spot, without the top spot.
SA: No one plays this one anymore either. It has also been sufficiently broken.
UFO: The same person has all the highest scores in this game, because they are an absolute maniac and break the game in ways no one else can. A few people dare to compete. A few. Also, holyshit this game is hard.
TD: No one plays this game. Scoreruns involve very little bullet dodging and a lot of game-breaking spam optimization.
DDC: This game is still new but the scoreboard is very slowwwwwwwww. Maybe the spell cards in this game are just too hard.
