I like their weirder songs(Bohemian Rhapsody and Bicycle Race) but their anthems often don't do much for me, with the exception of Don't Stop Me Now and Made In Heaven.

Like, If I want to get a car, and then I get a car, it's not that my future state of having a car went backwards in time and made me get a car. It's not a priori time travel if you assume that in some sense, an acorn's goal is a tree. It might be false, or unjustified, but it's not backwards causality.
A different sense of this that might be true is that what is ontologically prior must determine what is more complex or secondary. But I don't think this is meant in some cases.
