Just because you don't know their meaning, doesn't mean they lack one.
They totally discussed this distinction over on BtL, and they came to the conclusion that "weeaboo = Japanese supremacist wannabe" and "otaku = person obsessed with anime".
I don't care about what they "totally discussed" on BtL. "Weaboo" started as a nonsense word taken from a webcomic strip that was put in as part of a word censor on 4chan if memory serves, it became a synonym for "anime-obsessed person" over time. How 'bad' "weaboo" is, and how seriously it's supposed to be taken depends entirely on who's saying it.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
That doesn't mean it lacks meaning, though. That just means its meaning is subjective.
As silly as it sounds to refer to it as such, words like "weeaboo" are a part of language. The main issue is that it is part of an internet dialect, and thus cannot be given a conclusive definition or official slot in any serious dictionary.
The only way to determine a "true" meaning behind it is to strip it down to its most common shared usage.
I never said it wasn't part of language. Whether it is a useful part of the English language is another matter entirely.
I tend to think that words with meanings that vary should really not be used in serious discussions anyway. Because then you get "this word totally means THIS and not THAT" "no, this word means THAT, not THIS!'
I just lost an EDH game because of milling. Milling, countering and white removal. I had Omnath on the field; I was getting three forests per mana; and I couldn't do jack.
And just for extra pain, the opponent's general is this doofus
I think I'll take a break from EDH for about a week or so

As a general rule, slang and obscure dialect words should NEVER be used in a serious discussion or papers *unless* all parties are fully familiar with the jargon.
That said, slang IS still useful, although the way it's useful is mainly a social curiosity and not strategic or logical. As far a "weeaboo" goes, it would be easier to simply say "Japan Supremacist", or something to that effect, although doing so might be poor etiquette.
Either I posted something and then immediately forgot about it or you're paranoid.
And having just backread the conversation I can safely say I did not insult you in any way. If you're going to get that worked up about me taking issue with your use of a word, consider stepping away from your computer for awhile. Or at least closing this tab, because seriously.

Hurling insults is uncalled for. Please refrain from that.
AU: It seems that way. Delhaize shut down the entire concept not too long ago, and closed some of the stores outright. The ones that aren't closing are reverting to Food Lion; most of them around here originally opened as Food Lion anyway.
There's something really relaxing about being able to just be so, so mellow
And there's something that really gets to me when I'm up against a mill deck. I believe that the point of MTG is to do stuff with cards. Milling decks are all about keeping people from doing stuff with cards, which is kind of counterproductive to how the game should be played.

It lacks concrete meaning, then.

Semantics are fucking fun, aren't they?
Have fun surveying everyone who's ever used the word weaboo in any context.

OH MY GOD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE
As are working links, apparently.
Also, I should totally get back to work on the hack that allows members to edit posts.
I would make it look like Fast Eddie thumped everyone's posts for personal attacks. :D

Go listen to some light jazz or something and relax. There's no need to get heated.
I'm actually pretty okay right now.
I'm paying more attention to the webcomic I'm reading, really.
I can feel the drama melting away already.
