it's like when Billie Piper was cast as the Doctor's companion and people were like 'ugh she's ugly', i didn't get the hate then, either

I guess he hasn't murdered anyone or outright supported any kind of systematic injustice.

I just think his face is stupid and he has a very narrow skillset.

Besides, there's a good chance that his casting has less to do with his merits as a performer and more for Marvel trying to make lightning strike twice with the pretty-boy Hiddleston type.
