Amusingly I came up with the "Somasis is the mayor of Maresville" and "Somasis is Alice's little sister" things separately and only while letting my mind wander on a campus bus today did I connect the two

The Princess is not a reviled public figure and the people are already accepting of the monarchy, so perhaps it seems natural to them?

So, i suppose it's worth asking, how well-liked is she? She can't be too reviled if she was literally chosen on the basis of her compassion, at least.
