I know I am dreaming sometimes (though I guess not as often as when I was younger). I think it tends to make bad dreams much less scary. How often do you have dreams where you know you are dreaming?

It's hard to tell. Sometimes I'm aware I'm dreaming, but not aware that this means I can manipulate reality. So I end up just kinda going along with the dream as it plays out.
I brought it up because last night I dreamed someone was robbing me at gunpoint, and I was like "fuck this! I'm waking up now" even though up to that point I hadn't really acknowledge that I was dreaming. I just knew somehow that I could snap myself out of it if I wanted.
Occasionally I do become aware that I'm dreaming. This is usually followed by an attempt to will certain things into existence in the dream, such as a chocolate cake or an ample-chested girl. Usually fails.

One of my favorite dreams was one where I realized I was dreaming because I could change my sex at will, and wait, that doesn't usually work in real life!
So I preceded to spend the rest of the dream running around school in nothing but a bra and panties screaming "HAHA, CAN'T PUNISH ME, 'CAUSE THIS IS MY DREAM!"
