I never understood the overlapping-the-shield-and-banners thing. Why do it? Are there actually people out there who mount signs for a living who think that's correct? Did they run out of bolts and not want to go get more? I don't get it; it just looks dumb.

You know I don't understand what it is about Arial that makes people stretch and compress it with absolutely no regard for aesthetics or legibility.
