I don't know, I'm just happy that this is a thing. Guillermo del Toro, Stephen Thompson, Don Murphy (admittedly, less familiar with), and Susan Montford all fairly capable of taking Monster on. I don't expect perfection, although I certainly hope it's as good as the manga and anime are. Really though, I'm just glad it might be getting even more popular. It's certainly not obscure - although I personally haven't seen it brought up or talked about as much, in my experience with the anime and manga fandom or critics - but the more it is talked about the better, personally. Just like with Hunter X Hunter. Also there are other major characters besides Johan, even if he's incredibly central to the series.

It's a shame that I never got to actually touch any.
Apparently it's pretty flimsy, unfortunately, although I agree that it is a cool medium purely from an aesthetic perspective. Maybe I should do a limited-run video single on LaserDisc one day...
When I was at Walmart earlier, I noticed that they were still selling VCR/DVD combos new in the box. I guess Funai will still make 'em as long as people want 'em!

I'm always surprised at how many people mistakenly believe LaserDisc was a digital format
Like I said, Aliroz, I don't think it'll be perfect. What it will be is something, and hopefully/ideally something really good. I'd rather hope then worry, though I get your concerns about it.
