I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
The fact that Kraft's divestiture of Post once again broke Shredded Wheat and Triscuit away from each other irks me tremendously
(Nabisco bought out the Shredded Wheat Company, producers of the eponymous cereal business and Triscuit crackers, in 1928. Nabisco sold its cold cereal line to Kraft General Foods in 1993, but Shredded Wheat and Triscuit were reunited when Kraft bought Nabisco in 2000; the reunion was broken up when they sold Post to Ralston in 2007)
I find the idea that Pokemon promotes animal cruelty rather tiring. If anything, the cruelest aspect of the game is the way Pokemon are collected, bred, and never used; the battling is entirely justified within the game's universe. The unfortunate implications of it are only there on an entirely superficial level.
I believe that, through various school-related but not school-approved channels, I can get a student copy for $50, which is significantly cheaper than the retail version, but I don't see it as a significant enough investment for me to buy it right now.
Maybe in the future, when I hopefully get a job sorted out and have some money coming in, but not yet.
what do you even need matlab for? is your linalg class making you solve 50×50 matrices? i would have thought as a math major your software would be more along the lines of axiom or mathematica.
Man, the class fits one of the requirements for the major and doesn't conflict with anything else in my six-class schedule. The teacher is sig. above average, and I get to list another programming language on my resume. As far as I'm concerned, the class is a gift horse, program accessibility aside, and I ain't looking it too closely in the mouth.
Probably not even going to go on into pure math anyways. The smart choice seems to be going off to actuarial school.
no i just... don't understand how a basic linear algebra class needs matlab. it's for heavy duty matrix lifting, it's not gonna do you much good for systems of four equations and stuff
It could be more complicated than I think it's going to be. We haven't actually gotten into the subject matter yet. Still explaining the nitty-gritty of MATLAB.
"Reading two thirds of a book I had immense difficulties reading one third of and memorizing twelve pages worth of CONSTANT dialogue" badly.
My mother thinks it's laziness; to be fair, I haven't put in much effort but I still stress about it a lot which indicates that there's something else at play, y'know.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
We haven't had a Manly McMacho drive-by in a month or so
Hopefully she'll pop up again later this month or early next month when The Melancholy of Autumn Semester really sets in

I wonder if treating "fall = depression" as a constant is an effect of my mood disorder
Why a table? We haven't even gone over tables! And apparently, making a table out of variables in MATLAB is a labyrinthine process beyond human comprehension!

I have an iPod touch 4 that’s broken to high heaven, and my iPod before that was a 2.
I am suffering.
