The problem with mixing Homestuck (and a lot of other series) with Magic the Gathering is that MTG has a very specific system for what powers and what creatures fall under which colors/philosophies. Homestuck's particularly difficult because most of the characters already have an associated color.
Nepeta works out because cats are actually common in Green (Jedit comes to mind). Rose too, as wizardry and seers fall under blue, which is close enough to purple. But Dave? Time tricks are strictly blue territory, and knights are primarily white and secondarily black.
