That's not how I remember the Made of Win thread. I remember it being pretty good at cataloging funny things people said, and I was very proud whenever a post that I wrote was linked in that thread.
But it seems I went to a different TV Tropes than everyone else did.
All I remember about Scrye is that Kino was sad when he was banned. I remember Kino disliking me but not caring enough to hate me.
As for Nornagest, I remember that when one poster complained that his relatives kept sending him copies of the Book of Mormon, Nornagest responded that that poster would never lack kindling. Everyone present in the thread thought it was chuckle worthy (and a few thought it was Made of Win) except Osbourne. Rather than respond in that thread, I decided to leave TV tropes and was stopped by Yarrun. And that's how I became friends with Osbourne.
The only guys I can remember consciously disliking were DemonGodofChaos and Stillbirth Machine. Man, I loathed Dgoc.
Stillbirth Machine runs the gamut from reasonably pleasant to completely intolerable based entirely on what the conversation is about, with the problem being that he is fond of expounding upon the latter topics at the expense of the former. He is a snob, in other words, and a fairly vocal one, but nothing special in that regard.
I don't think I ever dealt with DGOC personally.
DGOC was more annoying fanboy than seriously terrible person, compared to some of the worst people on TVT, though he was kind of creepy about fanservice. But most of his annoying qualities were just being a typical fanboy about stuff or the fact that if there was something he liked, he would always try to steer the conversation towards it, no matter how tangential or unrelated it was and no matter how many to someone told him it was annoying. Seriously, you literally had to tell the guy to fuck off and shut up about whatever he was talking about before he took the hint. Plus, he has this clinical disease that renders him completely incapable of critical thought in any capacity when it comes to Shonen action manga.
Yeah, Stillbirth Machine could could be pleasant at points and I actually enjoy a good bit of his taste in extreme metal, but he could be so insufferable about it. Nothing special, but still very annoying all the same.

The only Notoriously Bad posters I remember towards the late period were The Handle and Draven.
The latter is banned anyway.
What was so bad abut The Handle? I only ever saw him post in the anime threads before I left and he seemed kind of annoying but not specifically terrible.
I didn't think The Handle was terrible per se so much as very annoying and kind of thick. I guess there were some weird aspects to his behaviour, like his whole "censoring Neon Genesis Evangelion for conservative Muslim audiences" thing - I think he's from Algeria or Morocco - but mostly he was just kind of there.

oh. Yeah, DungeonCrawl StoneSoup is a fork (version developed by a different dev team) of the original Linley's Dungeon Crawl which has been abandoned for over a decade now. Crawl, with no further parts of the title, is a local multiplayer only game that came out a few weeks ago.
The DCSS/LCS situation is not dissimilar to how the original Hack became NetHack.
I think something similar may soon happen with The Binding of Isaac: Community Remix. But that is just a hunch.

Or maybe I just have rose colored glasses.

I guess nobody is responding to my posts, then. Oh well.
