I'm not honestly sure, basically I think it means the screen is poorly constructed and prone to damage. Mine just stopped working for a while one time, but after a few days it stopped giving me any problems. idk, shit's weird.
i5 is a brand of intel processor. 2.4 GHz means it goes about two and a half billion cycles per second, which is kind of a meaningless number since it only works by comparison...
if you want games your main concern is going to be the graphics processor, not the CPU. a lot of laptops come with an "integrated" graphics card that's not gonna work for games. (really, i wouldn't get a laptop if you want to play any newish games, but mayb eyou think different)
I would say that for most newish games I would have a much easier time just playing them on a console; I'd want to use a laptop for games that are at least a few years old.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
laptops in general are pretty sealed up. if you want to switch out components you'll need a modular motherboard and there ain't enough room for PCI slots in a laptop.
personally, i have a desktop computer which i can use for games and the occasional other heavy duty shit, and then i have a netbook. nobody really has a netbook anymore but it's basically a puny laptop, can't so much as run 2D games properly. when i'm lazing around somewhere i use that, and the desktop sits in my dorm room. it's reasonably easy to move a tower between apartments when moving. netbook's what i write reports on and read documents on and such bullshit
Also I went to a website called Notebook Check that had an algorithm for finding the kind of laptop you want. I know less than I did before using it and also I'm exhausted.
I've had troubles with a lot of indie games with the Intel half of my dual GPU thing but your mileage may vary and less crappy Intel processors might not have this problem?
When it comes to integrated video, you really don't want anything older than Intel Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge (which both came out in 2011). I understand the GPU in the Haswell CPUs is excellent, though it's also brand-new (came out last year) so you'll pay more for it.
The older Intel GMA cores are really only good for 2D; before the 965 came out in 2007 or so, they couldn't even do hardware T&L (something a lot of games expect, and a feature that's been on NVIDIA's chips since the first GeForce in 1999). However, if all you want is a browser and a few office apps, they'll work fine (as will practically everything all the way back to the old Super VGA chips).

keep an eye out for thinkpads and HP elitebooks
It's pretty good, although apparently the series has a known problem with like screen rot or whatever it's called.

but not all, you really have to be careful about what you buy. High-end pretty stuff is usually a no-go, even if it's low budget (like FRACT).
It was gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarbage
Though mine got some good mileage with Xubuntu on deck, I might add.

My desktop does a good job with that, though, so I'm not too pressed. It needs more storage space, though.

"Difficulty with running" is more what I meant.
well, unless you're hellbent on Skyrimming on your computer, you shouldn't beat yourself up about it given the demands Skyrim puts on your system
