It's been on the Play Store for a long time now, but it always said it wasn't available in my country -_-
  • kill living beings
huh. wonder why that would happen.

I swear, someday I will devise a cure for people who disagree with me.

And then everyone will agree with me on everything, and nobody will ever tell me I'm wrong again.
  • My dreams exceed my real life
I don't understand people who want everyone to agree with them.

    That would be very boring.

Part of the fun of life is meeting people who have different opinions who disagree with you.

I, for example, think that Let It Go from Frozen is severely overhyped. My sister thinks that it's a masterpiece. We disagree.

    And that's okay.

Sorry mate, but I have to disagree with you there.

    fight. dream. horse. love.
so I booked tickets for Snowpiercer 'at the Pavilion Cinema cause it was the closest theater showing it

and only an hour before I have to leave to get there the recommended amount of time before the showing I check yelp and
7:15pm showing of 22 Jump Street. Two bites on my forearm and one on my shoulder. Bed bugs? Possibly. The manager insisted that last week they had dogs come in to sniff the theatre, and nothing was found. Either way, never again.bed bug or flea. Benefit of the doubt - *gone*. This theatre definitely has an infestation. Avoid!
My girlfriend bought a kitkat and in the dark of the theater she noticed that it felt like it had been opened. When we took it into the light it was clear that a mouse or some small animal had eaten through the wrapper and there were tiny teeth marks where it had eaten the corner of the candy bar.
I felt bites on my legs and when I got home I shook out my pants and found what I believe to be a little bed bug!!
I'm praying that was all I ever see!!!
    uuuuuugh

  • Am I the only person who gets music via Perfectly Legal Means?

    You most definitely are not.

    yes

    you're inheriting a republic? what?
  • That's just a bug. Any low-tier title with no heir reverts to its liege when the owner dies, and because of the way merchant republics work in this game, they technically don't have an heir until the current ruler dies. So it'll always say their liege is the heir to the republic even though they never are.

I like to think of it as a ceremonial title.

Yeah, well, I'm the heir to the Principality of Centralia

"But aren't you already the ruler of Centralia?"

Well yes, but you should have figured out by now that all the princesses so far have been alternate versions of myself

So there's no reason to think the next princess won't be me, too!
  • ...And even when your hope is gone

Okay, I guess it's not so bad that people disagree with me.
  • kill living beings

Yeah, well, I'm the heir to the Principality of Centralia

well it's more that republics aren't ruled by a monarch, you know?
  • also my bid for Emperorship is looking really good. The current Emperor has no living sons to nominate, and I have 18 votes, the next two closest candidates (Robert II of Flanders and Bretislav of Bohemia) only have one each.

Well yeah, if you want to get technical. Don't you have some kernels to compile? v_v

The Holy Roman Empire itself is a counterexample.

Granted it was a very limited form of democracy to begin with and meant less and less as time went on, but it was a republic of a sort.
  • kill living beings
i've never actually compiled a kernel

and i thought republic meant something more specific than "there are elections", i mean, that would also describe the papacy

I pictured some visual pun where we saw you "compiling kernels" by stacking some unpopped popcorn kernels one-by-one into a big pile, but this joke doesn't translate well to text...
  • Sup bitches, witches, Haters, and trolls.
I thought republic meant "not a monarchy" :V

well then we get down to what the definition of a republic is don't we

    it's Family Guy humor!
  • what is a good name for my son, keeping in mind that he is German
[5:06:58 PM] tunes made in sands: Simon is an option (and the default) to keep the name in the family, but it's far from the only option
[5:07:36 PM] tunes made in sands: I was also thinking maybe Konrad, or the traditional Old Prussian name Golding (most of the people I'm conquering are Prussians).
  • kill living beings
well i mean, generally i'd think a republic has power in the hands of the people, whatever that means. having an emperor elected by a bunch of hereditary princes doesn't so much qualify...

well I don't think the Roman Republic didn't have much power in the hands of the people tbh

The game does not assign heresies a name based on geographical area, something that annoys a lot of people.

In any case it gives me just cause for a holy war, so I should be able to take a nice chunk of territory or two.
