I think I heard a Residents album once before and it might have been that one.
They have a lot of albums, although their most famous are likely that one, Eskimo, The Third Reich 'n' Roll and Duck Stab/Buster & Glen. Meet the Residents, Wormwood and The Mark of the Mole are also fairly notorious, but you're less likely to have heard those.

I love Duck Stab/Buster & Glen. On the whole, it's a pretty brilliantly twisted mockery of late 1970s New Wave.
I recall thinking it was weird but not having much other opinion on it.
I don't tend to appreciate satirical stuff all that much unless it's interesting in other ways, like Monty Python.
I happen to really enjoy that one for what it is, but it is a bit of a hard pill to swallow if it doesn't "click" with you. The Commercial Album is much more digestible and gives you a taste of the band's droll humour without fish-slapping you with it. The fact that all of the songs are very short and to-the-point (yet very well written) helps a lot.
go read the Newbery Award Winning Life Changing Novel Bridge To Terabithia and then come see me
I've read it. It's good.
Honestly, have you ever just considered that you're just not a fan of traditional storytelling? The only things I remember you mentioning enjoying is pretty distinctly nontraditional stuff, which I'm not saying is a problem.
past couple days my left arm and foot have felt all numb and I've been getting more weird pains than usual.
idk, I am currently uninsured so there is very little I can do about it. If I suddenly disappear y'all know the story.
If they get really bad, please figure out a way to see a doctor. I don't want a good friend to just keel over like that. After all, if you're dead, how can I murder you for not liking Ex-Military?
Those first two sentences were deadly serious, by the way.
i'm not good with THIS CHARACTER DIES BECAUSE THIS IS REAL LIFE AND PEOPLE DIE suddenly showing up towards the back end of an otherwise unremarkable children's book for no reason, with no sense of flow or closure
the whole thing felt poorly constructed and pointless, the movie was much, much better at humanizing the characters and imparting the narrative with a real sense of purpose

Bridge is a divisive novel, it's perfectly expected to have some people love it and some people think it's awful.

Eh, I'll live.
And if I don't, well, there are worse times to go.
Better times too, certainly, my mom's got enough to worry about, but I have no control over it, and I am literally unable to afford seeing a doctor. If it gets bad enough that I need to go to a hospital that's one thing, but if something were to sorta sneak up on me there's not much I can do about that.

Naney gettin' controversial up in this bitch.
I agree though.
People hated the movie entirely because of misguided trailers.
I don't agree; I thought the book was well structured and did a good job constructing a situation where the death felt meaningful and the inclusion of an element that made the main character feel at fault for his friend's death was a very good choice rather than being one of those works that feels the need to absolve the main character of any sort of guilt or culpability, no matter how tenuous.
The movie was just kind of aimless and half-hearted, though it got the ending right.
Actually it occurs to me that the most likely cause that doesn't rely on me being an alarmist is either A) an allergic reaction to something or B) the Lupus that runs in the family finally flaring up.

It wasn't an accusation, and it was something I'd noticed before he mentioned his opinion on this particular thing.

As I understand it, the main problems with Earthbound localization were Franky's theme, which is basically Johnny B. Goode and the Sky Runner theme, which is basically the beginning of Won't Get Fooled Again.
from now on I am going to treat you like I treat my real cat (and like how all cat owners treat their cats) and just call you "buddy" and scritch (NOT scratch) your ears

you know damn well I wouldn't know that

A good chunk of it sounds like a stripped down version of something you might hear on Donuts.
why am I not an elegant woman with a sunhat

it does sound a bit like Johnny B Goode don't it.
