I assume they're mostly controlled by the same complex of muscles that make your scalp do things, which are hard to consciously control but do move at their own accord.

it seems that the pinnas are innervated by the same nerves that control facial expression, while the scalp is innervated by the one for biting, as well as some spinal ones.
that is the primary reason i like the idea of having cat ears, aesthetic desires aside. i'm not a fan of human body language as it is and i'd like to supplement it some.
Actually, that makes sense: In most animals, the ears (and to a lesser degree, the eyes) are the main mode of facial expression.
there's actually a cranial nerve entirely for moving ocular muscles. and then it doesn't even do all of it.
neuroanatomy is neat. it had never occured to me what "cranial nerve" means - most of your body is innervated through like the spinal cord, but with your face and head that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, so there's thirteen particular nerves for your head that are straight outta the cranium.
there's also CRANIAL NERVE ZERO (dun dun dun), which human anatomists forgot about but is in charge of the all important vomeronasal senses in animals that have that shite

I don't mind human body language, but pulling one's ears back or tilting them forward strikes me as a fine way to indicate interest that is lost with our odd little ears.

You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I replaced the "daylight" bulb in my lamp with a "soft white" one
It's amazing how much better...how much calmer it makes me feel

I haven't played narcissist!Princess Alice in a while
Need to revive that particular character variation
Excrement actually doesn't have a lot of fat in it. Anything useful in what you eat is absorbed by the body, so bowel movements are just rejected food material, meaning that putting it through the works a second time is useless. No wonder you haven't been gaining weight
So I'm googling around, trying to find out which political direction an advertiser on Twitter leans to, and surprise, I found an article in the Examiner (the closest thing we have here to the Daily Heil), which is complaining about them and includes choice whining like this:
That’s a little general and a lot highfalutin. Just to be perfectly clear, Netwar is a battle strategy used by Big Green environmental activists to destroy the fossil fuel industry for the sake of climate change.
Um, you know there's a reason why we call fossil fuels "non-renewable", right? The fossil fuel industry will shrink once they run out of things to mine. This can't be stopped, only delayed.
The most likely to be affected is coal, since coal can't be produced by other methods. Oil and gas can be manufactured from carbon dioxide and water, if necessary, though the process isn't terribly efficient at present (bio-oil and bio-gas are more likely in the near term, and are already in use in a lot of things).

i think i've also seen the AM2R tech demo being speedrun
which is why i was expecting a boss involving chozo walls closing in on me but didn't find it
good game, anyway
that's about 1/4 of the way through the AM2R demo, just sayin'
there's probably not actually enough room for a second cochlea, but do you really want that or just something you can waggle seductively
i mean, i already have two ears that work fine, no need to go messing with those if they're doing their thing
dammit now i'm trying to wiggl emy ears

Actual story: Inhalers might reduce height by the enormous degree of... 1/2 a centimeter.
Whee, scaremongering.
Why am I not fat?

why did i not realize this and think this was all new to me

this is M:C i'm talking about, not AM2R tech demo
well they've always been
but only on a recent trip to the everglades area did i realize that the whole point of them was to tower over shorter trees
NOT to be planted singularly, the way that is done ALL OVER THE FREAKING PLACE IN SOUTH FLORIDA
P.S. Support solar power :P
as far as Confrontation goes, if you just beat the latest one then you're all good
