While the law previously stated that the a person invoking "Stand Your Ground" had to "reasonably believe it is necessary" to use force to prevent bodily harm, it now reads that to use force or threaten to use force a person must also believe they are in imminent danger.
Of the characters that I have written, three of them use guns as primary weapons. Two of them are only allowed to use them in situations where noncombatants aren't going to be an issue. The last one has magical powers that allow him to use lethal weapons in non-lethal manners.
You should probably inform Stormtroper/Lunate that I am arguably among those who ended up leaving after this turn of events.
It is also worth noting that the rather pathetic attempt at a "raid" instigated by certain parties on BTL (including the aforementioned GMO and the nauseous Ombre Morbide) was what lead me to leave the site permanently with no chance of return. It was also several months after the IJBM situation. If I'm not mistaken, this actually was the last straw for several members, but I'm not sure of who.
Yeah, Stormtroper hasn't written up the raid. Then again, maybe it's a good thing since the (pathetic attempt at a) raid doesn't really deserve more attention...
also: idk why people go on ijbm i never even made an account there.
i dont even know what btl is but if it is worse than ijbm then ew
IJBM is another TV Tropes spinoff, like HH, but it was founded a few months before HH was. Also a different focus -- IJBM is more about discussing things, with wonderposting as a side dish, while HH was founded as an extension of a wonderposting thread on TVT.
Basically, IJBM is just another TVT spinoff forum with a focus on conversations, in contrast to HH's (ostensible) focus on wonderposting.
BTL is yet another TVT spinoff. I don't remember exactly how it got founded, but I think it was in response to the Second Google Incident (that led to all the porn works/tropes on TVT being removed), or maybe the first one... From what I could tell a while back, they seemed to obsess over hating on stupid people at TVT, including such phenomena as pedophile apologism and lust for fictional characters, though I don't know what they're up to now. A few of them once tried to "raid" (4chan-style) IJBM and spent the better part of a day spamming IJBM with new threads.
One of the reasons I never really called myself a heaper is that I still consider myself a troper in spirit, and nothing you guys can say will make me not love TV Tropes.

They existed at least a few months before the Second Google Incident. The forums was created by Annebeeche initially as a place to talk about problem users and questionable site policies without getting banned for speaking up, but changed direction several times. I was actually the one (with help from TNS) who brought the aforementioned incident to their attention. I was also, as you know, a moderator there for a shockingly long time.
I don't think I even want to see what's become of the place now.
I was a part of BTL around the time of the whole 'Kodomo no Jikan and Pokegirls are reprehensible' incident, which was also when it was created. So, a few years ago in January. Genetically Modified Orcus popularized it as an attempt to solve the site's bigger issues. It took a couple of weeks before it mutated from that to sniping at tropers that were deemed problematic. After the thread devoted to said sniping got flagged and deleted by the hosting site for for 'defamation of character', the site kind of went stale and I dipped out.
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player sacrifices a creature. At the beginning of the end step, put a 0/1 black Bread creature token onto the battlefield.

It was actually flagged by a notorious loony known by the moniker Jim Profit, and by then the sniping was already tapering off. The next incarnation of the site was initially devoted to making things better at the wiki and just having a place to chat for ex-members and current ones, but then Martello and others started hanging around and things deteriorated quite quickly.
I don't even remember what the deal was with Pokegirls.
Are you the kind of person who wants to have sexual relations with a humanoid Articuno? Are you ALSO the kind of person who needs pointless stupid worldbuilding for the world where this impossible sexual tryst would happen? Pokegirls is for you!

There are less tasteless and horrifying ways to make it to that end. Really.
It is sometimes strange to me that TvTropes has as much mock threads and mock tumblrs as it does, because it's problems tend to be problems that are just depressing rather than hilarious.

I never liked mock threads and mock tumblrs. The TV tropes mockthreads really bothered me back in the day, and if I didn't avoid them, they'd probably still upset me.
And yes, I know how dumb that is, and I know that getting hurt just lets them win.

This.
And that's assuming they are even problems.
So what if someone says that they find a fictional character attractive? People lust after fictional characters, movie stars, and various famous people that they'll never have a relationship with, all the time.
Some of it is shameful, but some of it really is just...whatever. Like, why would I even care about that. I don't.
That would have been cool had BTL been able to really make that alternative TVT thing work.
As of right now, I think there exists a site called All The Tropes, which is supposedly TVT plus the cut content that was removed after the Second Google Incident. I haven't actually checked how comprehensive it is (between not having read much of that content before it was cut, and having little occasion to check TVT or a TVT-like site in the first place).

Enchantment
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player sacrifices a creature.
At the beginning of the end step, put a 0/1 black Bread creature token onto the battlefield.
I assume Franco's face is up there for star power reasons.
Also I just realized that means this movie had Andy Serkis as a leading man, which makes my inner Gollum fanboy very happy.
Umm, poke girls?
That's hesha creepy.
I love that song!
One of the people I abhor.

Ah, just like That One Fanfic Rozzy Will Never Again Attempt To Read Or Mention Ever Again?
Turns out, there's a level beyond Fahrenheit 451 for me.
Let us bury these things deep where we will never find them.
It's apparently due to get cleaned up though.
STRENGTH.
