Pluggers doesn't really have jokes so much as descriptions of sad old people.
  • what is relevant

    Fireworks are boring.
  • the Pluggers peeps seem happy enough

they have a sort of enthusiastic crotchetyness

  • you know now that i think about it Pluggers is basically like the old people version of those "So Relateable" tumblr posts

    ...pretty much, yeah
  • Smee, Maiman, Doktar, Pavelier, Button-Lee, Juan Ovyu
I think the trekking burger may be the most disgusting thing Ashens has eaten (well, nibbled and spit afterwards). Even more than the thousand year Chinese egg.
  • kill living beings
that 60s comic remains probably the saddest comic i've ever seen

Also one of the most hilarious. Who would have guessed that it had a bun and everything in a fucking can?

Dad and I replaced the basement light fixtures

The new ones have electrical outlets in them, which is useful, and pull chains so I can turn each light on and off individually

Also the light above the stairs is finally working again
  • THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS
I actually knew about many of the 1960s groups mentioned in that one comic because of my mom. And yeah, that comic was obviously made in 2008 or 2009, when the "modern" artists mentioned were still a big deal. Bieber is a punk now, I have no idea what Beyonce is doing, and Gaga...well, she's still around, though she's not as important.
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
The Temptations were the only one I had heard of
  • Beyonce put out another very well-regarded album near the very end of last year.

"Partition" is the only single I can recall from it offhand.
  • I really like The Temptations

"Earth Angel" is such a lovely song.
  • We can do anything if we do it together.
I thought that Lady Gaga's last album was pretty well-regarded, too.

Of course, that doesn't change that I have no real use for it.

There was a time when I actually used to kind of like Pluggers because I fancied myself a young curmudgeon

    You needed to know this

^^^ The Whitfield-era Temptations singles are fantastic.

The Mamas and the Papas were pretty good at what they did, i.e. catchy, upbeat pop music.
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat

In hard times, it's the little things.

I'm playing the Vagante alpha, that game is fun, but it's like, real hard. Also I don't understand why they don't let you use the joystick on your controller.

Only when the last tree has died, etc.

(I'm pretty sure that's not an actual Native American proverb, but it's still poignant)
