i was trying to transfer tracks from one of my dad's CDs onto my computer
i copied them as FLAC files, except the last track because the last 38 seconds wouldn't copy, and around the 7:20 mark it sounded seriously choppy and distorted in ways it definitely wasn't meant to sound, due to corruption
so i went to Amazon and downloaded that track from them, except they only had it as an mp3, and it's copy protected
i don't want it to be copy protected, but i don't want to install software to remove copy protection because that's illegal, right?
but even without the horrible scummy copy protection it's WRONG because it's an mp3 and the rest of the album is FLAC and this feels gross and it makes me want to delete the album altogether, but i have a feeling this would be irrational and silly
because it'd be pretty mean spirited to be making fun of (what appears to be) an eleven year old, but at the same time if he's older than thirteen it would ALSO be pretty mean spirited.
Not to say that any of you guys have been doing anything particularly bad, but I have seen people who honestly are making fun of him and that's not okay.
to clarify, the problem is that the album with a track missing would be incomplete, which is rubbish and worse than not having the album at all, but having all tracks bar the last track as FLAC files and the last track as a yucky copy protected mp3 is still a totally unacceptable compromise
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
It just irritates me as a Sonic fan that outside of the fandom, nine times out of ten he's either brought up via some dopey "GOTTA GO FAST" meme or with derision towards fans or the actual franchise
"Discussed in the Intermission editorial "Wrights and Wrongs", which was about the backlash against Marvel over the departure of Edgar Wright from Ant-Man over Creative Differences. He feels that, while the auteur theory makes a lot of solid points, it's not applicable to every film, especially not big, studio-driven blockbusters like the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also argues that, while it's produced a lot of great movies in both the '70s New Hollywood and in independent cinema, it's also led to the undue, premature elevation of filmmakers who are more about style than substance (citing Tim Burton and M. Night Shyamalan as examples) and the passing over of talented directors who don't have a particular "style" (such as the Russo Brothers)."
i know how stupid this sounds but my computer is dirty and contaminated by this incomplete album and supplementing it with a lossy piece of horrible copyright police bullshit only makes it worse somehow
If you already bought it from Amazon, then there's no reason to feel guilty about getting the last track via PLM!
Honestly, if you don't know the first thing about torrenting, there's a lot of places you can find direct downloads and not even mess with torrents. Just google "name of album" and "FLAC".
it's amazon, so they probably didn't recieve very much of my money, actually
But the people who actually did get your money from the purchase are the ones who are far more likely to care whether or not you payed for the album. So you managed to unintentionally CYA.
Thought: one of the things I enjoyed about Dark Souls was the playground rumor aspect of coming together to figure out the plot, gameplay, and best way through the game, and how the game facilitated this sort of behavior.
But now the community is kinda toxic, so what I liked is gone, even though the DLC episodes are coming out this summer.
so PLM was scary and i found two 'error - site blocked' sites and one which recommended using VPN to secure myself against lawsuits and that's now in my Google history and i guess i'm a coward
however, the corrupted track was a bonus track
so technically, if i delete all the other bonus tracks, i'll have the original album, complete

oh my god, you get it
someone else fucking gets it
THIS is EXACTLY the kind of feeling I'm referring to when I talk about how "purity thoughts" are eating away at me

Also, if it helps, I'm pretty sure Amazon's MP3s are actually sold without DRM these days
Hehehe, I'm watching Phelous's westling commercial review, and he just inadvertently shipped Zellers and Walmart. Considering who owns Zellers now, that is hilarious.

That is actually what the song seems to be about. Or the idea of sacrificing your sense of self for immortality in general. Either way, it's a surprisingly spooky spin on the concept.

we probably shouldn't pick on him, that's harsh

Perhaps the music people know something.
i considered converting an mp3 file to a FLAC file
i am so not ok with pirating stuff that i don't even have the first clue how i'd go about doing that
i mean i'm not morally averse to it or scared of doing it, i just have never wanted to do it because it feels naughty
this is bad logic but i don't care
FROWNS
i feel very foolish right now
how do i know what i'm downloading is what i want
i'm fairly sure this is a violation of the Vanilla tos, also i look like a massive prat
sorry everyone, and thanks anyway
that easy, huh
i will give it a go, i guess
thanks
should be better for your game whatever, too

this is an acceptable solution to me
that's the magic number
Did you know a female rapper wrote another verse for Lupe Fiasco's "Bitch Bad"? I do
Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead
i know you can do that to WMA files but i thought MP3s were immune from that
