I wonder why we keep focusing on what the future could bring.
We all want hovercrafts. We all want rocket boots. We all want matter replicators. We're all tired of how things are when we can imagine how things could be.
We never should have made such random speculating like what happened in the late 1900s, as a culture. It gave us such high expectations for the future that we can never be satisfied by what the future brings. We should have looked at what existed at the time and thought of how it could be reasonably applied. While the math nerds and the science nerds of the 60s and the 70s tinkered away at making the world a better place, the artsy kids doodled in their notebooks and wrote what made sense out of their LSD trips. Sometimes, yeah, they got one right. Still, if you randomly roll dice a million times, eventually you'll get boxcars. If you measure and weigh the dice, you'll get boxcars a lot sooner.

I think he's saying that instead of just saying "someday we might have flying cars!" we should look at the technology we have, and how we could realistically improve and expand upon it.

ABC Inc should buy NBC, CBS and FOX
Then they can combine into one huge, incestuous network

Fine.
Instead you should just buy some old shows to run on The Hub.

That's easy. You just have to threaten to kill everyone who doesn't subscribe to The Hub.

Don't worry, AU doesn't seem to like violence as a business strategy and will most likely reject my brilliant plan to bring in more viewers.

Right. You either pay for The Hub, or Central Avenue will come up with new creative and exciting ways to murder you.

So...just a little less than a month left till school starts for me.

Today I went to a birthday party. Someone put in a DVD, and one of the trailers that played was for "Hobo with a Shotgun". I couldn't resist saying "Not Pony with a Shotgun?"
I and the other brony present both immediately agreed it would be Pinkie.

Is it weird that my first thought was "I wish I knew a brony in real life"?
Well, the brony in question was Justice, so it's arguably more like "I knew a brony and it carried over to real life". (Though neither of us were bronies at the time we met, and actually I'm not sure brony was yet a thing, and I'm not sure why I'm so derpy tonight.)
We also made a drinking game of trying to explain plot points in Homestuck to Rottweiler. In between drinks, I had to remind Justice that he had explained virtually everything about Homestuck except what he was trying to talk about.

That would be cool.
Though I hardly ever see him on TVT anymore. I imagine he is busy with real-life stuff.

Yeah, and pretty soon he'll have a baby to take care of.

I kinda see where he's coming from, but I'm not sure I agree. In my mind, if the route is signed without a cardinal direction, it implies that the numbered route continues in both directions, not only one.

Yeah, just 'cause we don't like the shipping doesn't mean we don't understand it.

I'd say "that explains a lot", but I'm not sure what it would explain.
I think he's saying that instead of just saying "someday we might have flying cars!" we should look at the technology we have, and how we could realistically improve and expand upon it.
You get a prize for making sense out of what I post when I'm sleep-deprived and kind of angry.

The "street names go in all-caps and also in a box" thing is very irritating.
Suddenly I am obsessed with buying back catalog so we can do things with it.
(I could see how you'd think I was referring to something else.)
Start with Bill Nye the Science Guy.

and take their weapons leaving them dead

If I read that right.

Mmm...Incest...

So all those months of living in the air vents of the ABC building and bumping off rival company heads were meaningless?!
I'm cautiously excited.
This thing is so...wrong. Everything is wrong. It doesn't make any sense.
^$50.
If I ever decide to put this place in my sig there again I hope Justice signs up or something
Though I hardly ever see him on TVT anymore. I imagine he is busy with real-life stuff.
He is always bogged down with work.
Babies are very time-consuming, you know.

It's weird, It's like I see their friendship as merely platonic now.
You needed to know this.
^How did this come about?
For me, it was an indicator basis, the term Bestfriend holds a lot of meaningful connotations with me, on a personal level.
seeing that word in AU's post basically set me right by you guys.
Not that I'm supporting it.
...I'm coming off as angry?
(Yes, I use this joke all the time)

All this time I somehow thought he was French.
I do like it:
