It's not even about what difficulty you like best or how much you fail; it has a lot more to do with the way you play the game and the attitude with which you approach it. In my view, easy mode, if it exists in a good game, is there to help beginners get acquainted with the game. If "easy mode is too hard" (it isn't), you haven't started learning game yet.
But tbh this is not exactly what I was talking about earlier.
But isn't a bit myopic to fault people for their view of a game's difficulty, or how it might impact their view of the game's design?
A point I never really see raised is that, like, isn't difficulty subjective? It's definitely one of the most subjective aspects of a game, but people treat it like it's universal.
difficulty is relative to the ability of the player, i think
but Miko, if i understood you, you were talking more about Japanese gamers disparaging Western gamers for giving up too easily and not getting it, and therefore thinking all Western gamers are pushovers who don't get it. Accurate?

aaaaaaaaaa I don't want to do this conversation again, sorry. I will just look bad. I don't mock people for not being good at games or anything. I just get annoyed by certain attitudes, and in particular, the attitude that annoyed me earlier was one of Japanese elitism.
The term "SJW" is likely going to go the way of the term "political correctness".
The right-wing will discover the term, and take it out of its original context as critique by the left of its more radical neighbours. They will then use the term to harass anyone who tries to generally make policy or discourse more socially responsible.
Historically, the term was a colloquialism used in the early-to-mid 20th century by Communists and Socialists in political debates, referring pejoratively to the Communist "party line", which provided for "correct" positions on many matters of politics. The term was adopted in the later 20th century by the New Left, applied with a certain humour to condemn sexist or racist conduct as "not politically correct". By the early 1990s, the term was adopted by US conservatives as a pejorative term for all manner of attempts to promote multiculturalism and identity politics, particularly, attempts to introduce new terms that sought to leave behind discriminatory baggage ostensibly attached to older ones, and conversely, to try to make older ones taboo.
holy crap I do not understand GIMP at all. Either I am a dummy (the more likely choice) or GIMP is really esoteric and difficult to use. Sadly, I haven't gotten Paint.NET to work yet.
No, GIMP is strange and esoteric. What's your specific problem?

I was puzzling over why I couldn't crop the image after rectangle-selecting part of it but even with rectangle select, the image was doing things that didn't make sense instead of getting selected and then I gave up because the joke wasn't worth it. umm I'm not making much sense. ^_^'
it is stupid and cold up in my area of the north too. thankfully i am going back down to london today
Why do you live in the north of England? You do realize the latitude that that is is the same as most of Norway and Sweden, Finland and my much of Russia.

Super Duper High School Level ???
Instead I spent the past two hours on my PS3.
I regret nothing.
i am not thrilled that he has discovered the term 'sjw'
this is a bad development, that term does not need wider exposure in circles unsympathetic towards feminism and related social justice movements

It's going to be very annoying when that happens.
I remember how surprised i was to learn that 'political correctness' was originally a self-mocking left-wing in-joke.
I was actually pleasantly surprised that you also knew that, Bobby.
Why the fuck is it so cold.
he did invent memes after all

Hasn't that current lost much of its heat before getting to the British Isles?
Still, thank fuck the Gulf Stream.
