Why does a laptop battery count towards your frivolity fund? At the risk of sounding like a privileged bitch, I'd count that as a necessity, at least on some level...
The frivolity fund is a percentage of my current account balance and any expected monies coming in.
My current account balance is a tenner, and expected monies, while potentially substantial, do not have a set delivery date. I have to try and have enough left at the end of summer to purchase or rent the majority of my books. Prudence is the word of the day here.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
hmm, maybe tonight I will read up on how to build a game engine that can process 2,000 or more sprites at a time in 60fps without any slowdown or lag. I only want to make danmaku, though, and danmaku is math. >_>

If Reimu was 4 years old in Highly Responsive to Prayers, she is now about 17, as of the most recent game in which she appears. Reimu is basically an adult human now. Will she be too old for girly danmaku?

Patchouli is about 100, and at the extreme end of the spectrum, there is Eirin, who is "hundreds of millions of years old." However, they are both immortal youkai, which Reimu and Marisa are not.
in my mind all the touhous are like, at least nineteen or so, because teenagers are annoying and also because wow all that drinking would not be beneficial
The youngest youkai, except for Patchouli, would probably be the animal-type youkai. Wriggle, Nazrin, and others like them. Doesn't take long for animals to become youkai. Same with object-type youkai, like Medicine and Kogasa.
'Old' youkai vary in age by quiiite a bit. On the low end, you have Yuyuko, who's just a thousand or so years old. As for the high end...Eirin's the oldest confirmed character, but there's a good chance that Yukari's older than her. Tewi's also supposed to be up there, though we don't know exactly how far up there.
"Content" and "Media" in the general sense is a Media Marketing Class thing.
which is not to say that everyone who uses those terms that way is a marketer, but that's where it comes from. My professor in Intro To Media never called anything a book, movie, game, etc., it was all "content", and you didn't read, watch, or play anything, you "consumed" it.
I only really ever see "content creator" in the context of Youtube videos though, where I can't really blame them for wanting something a little more professional sounding than "Youtuber".
Also that class was really big on watching/reading/playing stuff solely so you could reference it to other people to appear smart, and that's not me putting words in anyone's mouth, that's literally what like half the class was about.
appearing smart isn't hard, all you have to do is obfuscate, use lots of multisyllabic words and the odd bit of jargon
no dude you don't understand
all of the books, movies, games, and albums you experience are just tools to put in your toolbox to impress people and get your own thing made. It's that simple!

(*impresses people with Whitehouse's Quality Time*)
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
You know what bit of corporate jargon does grate on me, though? References to characters as "brands" or "branded characters". I've seen the latter applied to the Harvey and Marvel characters...
