Correction: You can almost always make racists funny, because they are fucking stupid and stupidity is easily mocked; and you can make racist acts funny if they are non-violent and dumb enough; but racism itself is hard to make funny.
my beau once again proves through his clear argumentation why he is the superior in this relationship u_u
You're sleeping in your house, a crackhead kicks the front door in and starts charging up the stairs, hoping to swipe some jewelry to pawn for some more crack. You grab your gun off the nightstand just as the guy busts into your bedroom. He sees you and runs forward wielding a crowbar. You shoot him, and he doesn't beat you to death with a crowbar because he's dead.
How about this one:
You're working at a gas station. A crackhead pulls a gun and tries to rob the place. You quickly dive behind your counter and pull your shotgun. The crackhead rounds the counter with his gun pointed forward and catches a gut full of buckshot. So instead of taking your money and shooting you so he can't be identified, you get to go home unharmed.
How about this:
You're driving in a bad part of town in the middle of the night. You come to a red light, with oncoming traffic going through the intersection in front of you. You see a shady-looking dude, probably a crackhead, walking toward your car, so you ready your concealed handgun and lock your door, just in case. Suddenly, he runs the rest of the way toward the car and tries to open the door. Seeing that it's locked, he begins to reach into his pocket for something. You point your handgun at the guy and shout for him to back the fuck off. He runs away. The light turns green. You drive home.
These three scenarios happen every day. They're hardly one-in-a-million.
Dude, did a crackhead kill your entire family or something?
there were (white, as if I needed to clarify) people in my high school who thought that loudly yelling BLACK PEOPLE or various other racial groups was the epitome of comedy.
I still don't understand why they thought it was funny.
I think you're overestimating the extent to which I am a weeaboo.
...I can? That's possible?
Curses! Foiled again by optimistic assumptions!
But really, you should listen to more underground Japanese music. There are some interesting scenes there on that weird little archipelago. I'm not telling you to leap headlong into Maher Shalal Hash Baz, Yximalloo and KK Null right off the bat, but you could at least give Ryuichi Sakomoto's work a look. Hell, even Susumu Hirasawa.
I feel like one day I'm going to get challenged to an Obscurity Battle with the Cool Police and I'll have to ice some flannel-shirted motherfuckers with nothing but a Pabst bottle.
I answered a bunch of questions on Tumblr but since it's earlate no one will see them.
What's that, you say? You're curious about what the questions were? You think that I'm only saying this to get attention? Well, I can confirm the latter, but the answer to the former must be contained in a link.

I’ve never been in a relationship but there was a girl I had an almost-kinda thing with a little over a year ago and we did a presentation about Rome that had a pizza on it and someone joked about how stereotypical it was and I jokingly said it was her idea and some jackass asked me if that was supposed to be a fat joke, which she got really upset about. It got kinda hard to talk to her after that but we had, like, nothing in common anyway so I don’t really mind all too much.
got anything by susumu hirasawa or ryuichi sakomoto (sp?) to rec? i'll go check it out.
and it's not about obscurity, as much as it is about the fact that i just don't really have that much special love for japan but rather it's just coincidence that they produce more media i'm interested in, on average.

i like sakamoto's album with Christian fennesz, but it's quite ambient so idk if it would be your kind of thing
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
'This... stuff'? Oh. Okay. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select... I don't know... that lumpy blue sweater, for instance because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue, it's not turquoise. It's not lapis. It's actually cerulean. And you're also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves Saint Laurent... wasn't it who showed cerulean military jackets? I think we need a jacket here. And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. And then it, uh, filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic Casual Corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room from a pile of stuff.

I know no one cares, but I installed a graphic mod for EU4 and it looks damn pretty.
