I dreamed Richie Rich used some overly elaborate contraption to grow tomatoes in a matter of minutes and Princess Alice was impressed by this
i remember being on TVT in 2009, and no one could shut up about it
then, some time passed
a few years later, there was an IRC conversation where someone expressed the sentiment of barely even remembering that Haruhi was ever a thing
oddly, in the meantime, i went from resenting it being everywhere to gradually learning more about the series and getting the feeling that it might actually be a series with interesting characterization and character development and drama
and maybe i feel a little bad that people seem to have forgotten it and are now all about attack on titan and kill la kill (seriously you people speak so highly of stuff being life-changing then just put stuff down like it never affected your lives) (then again it's not like this doesn't happen to a lot of things in meatspace, from career choices to entire towns...)
so yeah i just added haruhi to my to-watch list on MAL.
...y'know, that list that has like, 72 items now. i haven't sorted them.
I never really got into the Haruhi thing myself. Yeah, she was cute, and the series itself had an excellent theme song (talking about the OP here), but I just couldn't get myself to watch more than the first episode. I think the memes were more interesting than the show itself.

I liked Haruhi enough to put a coded reference to it in the song titles of my last album and still consider it one of the best anime series I've ever seen.
Anyway, that is how the cultural zeitgeist works. Few things truly stand the test of time.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
Even when Touhou games are easier than before (i.e. Miko beats Normal on the first day and beats Extra the next day and Hard within a week), Lunatic mode is worse and worse every time. Maybe I've reached my limit here. Maybe I will find a similarly challenging game that doesn't frustrate me too much and that I enjoy.

Like, what happens when I beat UFO Lunatic finally? TD Lunatic, which is even worse. And then DDC Lunatic, which Miko can't even clear spell practice for. >_<

it's slowly dancing this way, kextruct
fuck scientology
when people, surroundings, institutions, cultures, social contexts, and entire worlds change irreversibly? and when we change ourselves?
back then, it was all the rage
it, and lucky star

She was amazing.

Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead
Easy Mode was hard enough for me
Now that I think about it, IN was before Lunatic started to get as cruel as it is.
