having a computer that can do more stuff without either slowing to a crawl or just shutting down completely
But that's with drastic differences in hardware speed. I don't think most people are running so many programs and tabs at once that a computer with decent hardware would automatically lag.
it's mostly a question of what you're doing with your computer
I have a crummy laptop and can run....a fair chunk of games decently at lower setting, though certainly not all of them, and increasingly fewer smoothly.
if you're doing like streaming or graphics design work or serious heavy duty music production you might need heftier hardware, though.
It's good to see Ubisoft is continuing to take no risks and do the "all sides are equally bad" thing with the new French Revolution Assassin's Creed game. #E3
DAE E3 cynicism?
I was kind of down on the last trailer Ubisoft showed until the SWAT guys took off their helmets to reveal Pey'j and Rayman
literally the only thing I care about in E3 is the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth showcase, and I don't actually know when that is.
also the internet's inexplicable hateboner for the Halo series continues to rage on.
I was walking home from an interview today and some girl I sortakinda knew from back at my old school drove by and was just like "get in." Because people get like, weirdly ardent about not letting me walk home.

Of course.
I'm talking about general use here, though, which is why the statement puzzled me.
my computer, which i built last year out of mostly new components, with eight gigabytes of memory and six cores, jsut hung when i opened half a dozen forum tabs. fuck technology
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Perhaps "more powerful" isn't the right way to put it, but, like
Looking at refurbished MacBooks on Apple's website
They have like 500 GB hard drives and 4 GB of RAM
Whereas my current laptop (which I paid less for) has 6 GB of RAM and a 750 GB hard drive
And I will definitely make use of that additional hard drive space one way or another

Ah, that's reasonable, although we tend to go to other sources than Apple themselves for our refurbished stuff, which knocks the price down a good deal fairly often.

I mean, zombies are alright. They don't suck really badly. But where are the skeletons? Those goofy-looking bonemen with their ill-fitting armor. Where have they gone?

@CA: Yeah, we managed to get a G5 tower for a couple hundred way back, but I'm only getting around to setting it up now. The first two that show up for retail on Google are $200 and $2000, so I'm not sure what qualifies as a steal here, but I think it was about $500?
Also, our laptops, which admittedly are all toast now but for reasons unrelated to the hardware per se...

"Do You Want to Build a Snowman" is stuck in my head
It's a fucking depressing song with a cutesy upbeat tune (for the most part)
I notice that Heapers are almost uniformly averse to gross-out humor
Humour that's gross for its own sake is just not funny to me, but I can find humour with gross elements funny, even if the giggling is occasionally more than a little guilty.

Online you can watch it on various Twitch channels. Or maybe just one, idk.

it's not shocking really, at least I don't think so.
