Subject later committed suicide, leaving a note which read "I'm sorry, but at this point everything's just one big letdown." Requesting such a drink again is highly discouraged. I've used Macs before because certain classes required them and I hate the Macintosh OS with every fiber of my being, because to me, someone who grew up on Windows, it is bleedingly unintuitive and spits in the face of everything I have come to accept as normal about OS design.
You will find that many people who grew up with Macs feel the opposite, it is a matter of what you were raised with.

Something like that, yes.
Music departments love Macs, so I can more or less function with one, but it takes a bit of getting used to.

Bah, lightweight.
I don't think that the point of that one is so much "scary" as "darkly whimsical."
Which is why I love that entry, by the way. I want one.
I don't think they really deleted much other than the uninteresting Mary Sues that kept popping up. For the most part as long as an SCP is interesting it'll stay in; but what the website is best at is horror so that's what most of it is.

Look, I used to be a part of that community, and I can say with authority that there was a very deliberate move to remove or heavily alter anything that wasn't dark n' edgy enough.
Which is why now 90% of the site is eldritch horrors from beyond our mortal skies. Don't get me wrong, some of those are totally cool! But like a solid 60-75% are very much not, and are as big of a problem as the rampant mary sues used to be, but no one is fixing it, because the admins think that the site is "better" this way.
I'm just saying that as someone who's read a hefty portion of the stuff there that a lot of it really isn't dangerous; just weird and dark. It's not all Cthulus.

I'm just gonna chalk this up to a difference of opinion and/or experience.
Some of the newer stuff is great, don't get me wrong, but I like the site a lot less than I used to.
Also some of the newer stuff is actually too effective and creeps me right out, so there's that as well (though that's not a fault by any means).
I know it's a kneejerk reaction, but it really does bother me that I am surrounded by people who use Windows or Linux and seem to have this vague disdain for Apple as if the only people who use their stuff are hipsters who want the prestige or some bullshit and it drives me up a wall.
I like OS X better than either of the other platforms, I just use Windows more these days because my iMac from '07-'08 isn't aging particularly gracefully.

I admit that the general disdain for Apple that most of the Internet seems to have kinda bugs me, too.
I can understand holding that disdain if you're a computer programmer or a gamer, however, for reasons that lee already alluded to.
So fucking tired. I need to sleep almost 12 hours per day so I don't feel tired. "Yisss yissss. 8 hours of work per day is perfectly reasonable, 4 hours to: eat 3 meals, use public transportation, do chores and take care of important things"

As someone who has used Windows, in its various forms, for most of my life at this point, I fully acknowledge that it's a jumbled mess that tries too hard to be everything to everyone. It just happens to be a jumbled mess I've come to know inside and out. :P
I really like OS X, but Apple hardware is expensive and I don't prefer it strongly enough to justify the added cost to myself. That said, the seeming disdain a lot of people have for Apple perplexes me.
I'm withholding judgment on iOS until I use a more recent version, but I think i like Android a bit better.

As for the Windows version of iTunes, yeah, that's always sucked.
I mean, it's not TERRIBLE, but they seem put a subpar level of effort into it, especially by Apple standards
I think it's easily illustrated by the awkward treatment of the menu bar over the years...their designers, for whatever reason, refuse to make the small concession to Windows conventions and place the menus properly...they've always tacked it the corner or hid it by default or something

Also I kinda don't like talking about the site, but, I'm not gonna tell you guys what to do.

I am not sure on how many levels of irony you're currently operating

except in cases of support from developers, in which case, iOS > Android > WinPhone
I think I will dual-install Windows XP this weekend, purely for gaming purposes.
