Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
One more week until Spring Break! Yay!
Though I wouldn't be so impatient for it to happen if it wasn't the second of only two breaks we get this semester. Blegh. Oh, well.
I was thinking last night, during the two hours it took me to fall asleep, I've read many books in my life, yet there are only about 15 that I like to keep talking about.
1. Gravity's Rainbow 2. Ulysses 3. Illuminatus! 4. Lord of the Rings 5. Gormenghast 6. Pale Fire 7. Slaughterhouse-Five 8. Nineteen Eighty-Four 9. Brave New World 10. Dhalgren 11. Under the Volcano 12. Collected Fictions of Jorge Luis Borges 13. Naked Lunch 14. House of Leaves 15. A Clockwork Orange

You know I downloaded Ulysses to my Kindle but I haven't read it yet. Should I?

...What the hell does "like a lover's voice fires the mountainside" mean, anyway?
Even Borges admitted that Ulysses is near-impossible to get through. Nevertheless, I think it's worth the attempt. Some parts of it are sheer brilliance.

I did not read Ulysses
I looked at Ulysses.
I studied the book in an attempt to make the words form sentences and the sentences paragraphs.
I failed.
You must level up first.
