"Cutlery", I guess, is the everywhere-but-America term? You know, like, spoons and forks and whatnot.
like, you know what i could buy for 40 dollars? 2 games, that's 80, enough to buy all the flatware i'll ever need, or a really nice blanket. 4 games? that's 320 fucking dollars, enough to cover air fare to see my boyfriend, a cool chair, huge-ass art prints, you name it.
man it's really easy to make anything seem stupidly expensive when you use that kind of reasoning.
p much. it seems that my mom's intense frugality genes have finally kicked in lol

I think there's a subtle difference
In that Americans seem more likely to use "cutlery" specifically in reference to knives than, say, forks or spoons
also apparently BD has microtransactions or something?
also also there's a Kotaku editorial about something something porn magazines when you search "Bravely Default, used" on google.
Microtransactions that were blown way out of proportion and are completely unnecessary to beat the game, yes. (You can buy SP drinks that let you pause a battle for 1 turn. You also get SP by just putting the system in sleep mode.)
im gonna restate that seeing that Bravely Default cost 40 bucks caused me to immediately reset my 3DS, put it neatly back in it's box with all the accessories and give it to my little sister
hmm, microtransactions, as in "people can pay money to circumvent the tedium required to gain a particular edge in the game." A game that is already 40 dollars. I always hated the idea of paying real money for things in a game that you already paid for.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
This article suggests that the "sleep points" feature is entirely unnecessary, but, it's still saving up 3 "free turns" by either paying money or leaving the game on overnight.

i'm wondering at what point i decided "hey, i should use windows 8.1 as my primary operating system!"
I don't like that there's Dark Souls 2 DLC coming out not because I dislike Dark Souls 2 but because it means people are going to be obnoxious about the textures again.
CVE-2014-3153 Pinkie Pie discovered an issue in the futex subsystem that allows a local user to gain ring 0 control via the futex syscall. An unprivileged user could use this flaw to crash the kernel (resulting in denial of service) or for privilege escalation.
Pinkie Pie is a Linux geek? Who knew?
they're actually a mdoerately famous hacker. they all have dumb names like Cap'n Crunch, you mnkow

I don't think it's bad to buy something used for a lower price. That is part of releasing it on physical media.

and I agree that 40 bucks is too much for a game. I will admit to once paying around $70 for Secret of Mana back in the day, however.
Seriously though, I can get a book or a music CD or something for waaaaaaaaaay less than a video game. It just don't make sense to me

and take their weapons leaving them dead

I somehow didn't hear about this, or I forgot about it. Either way, not happening.
what is life? alright then
I still think it's stupid that they even let you do it though, it's not like this is Path of Exile where the game is free to begin with.
that is a baffling design decision
"Cap'n Crunch" is not a dumb name
